Warner Bros. held the premiere of its supernatural-western Jonah Hex last night at the Arclight Cinema’s Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California.
Among those in attendance were Josh Brolin and his wife and actress Diane Lane, Megan Fox and her breasts, director Jimmy Hayward, Wes Bentley, Twilight’s Julia Jones, Lance Reddick, Helen Mirren, Kay Panabaker, hard rock outfit Mastodon, James Brolin (Josh’s dad) and his wife Mecha Barbara Streisand.
Now, while I have always praised the Arclight for it’s dedication to keeping families and minorities out of its theaters by charging steep prices for tickets and keeping an army of black security guards at the ready, I gotta say I was disappointed when they asked me to leave the screening and return to the movie I had paid to see … at the two-dollar theater down the street.

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus continues to look for new ways to distance herself from the wholesome Hanna Montana image Disney created for her. In recent months, the 17-year-old media sensation has relied on her vagina and impressive onstage stripper moves to scare families away. Now, she’s setting her sights on PG-13 horror to boost her into Kristen Stewart-like territory.
Cyrus is reportedly in negotiations to play the lead in Paramount Pictures and MTV Films’ big screen adaptation of author Lisa McMann’s supernatural young-adult novel Wake. In addition to Wake, the studios have purchased the film rights to its two sequels Fade and Gone in the hopes of launching a new teen-oriented franchise.

Wake centers on a teenage girl named Janie Hannagan who has the ability to enter people’s dreams and influence their actions, guiding them to understanding and peace. It’s a power Hannagan regrets and performs begrudgingly. But, things only get worse when she eventually gets trapped in some degenerate asshole’s nightmare.
Disturbia scribe Christopher Landon is adapting the book for the big screen.

Fast-talking “Gilmore Girl” Lauren Graham confirmed rumors that she will be joining the cast of Wes Craven’s eagerly-anticipated sequel Scream 4 during an appearance earlier this week on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Graham will play the part of Kate Kessler, mother to Sidney Prescott’s (Neve Campbell) cousin Jill Kessler (Emma Roberts). Though she joked about being film’s killer, the tall (she’s 5′9″) 43-year-old stunner didn’t reveal much else … other than some seriously hot legs.

Scream 4 is the start of a new trilogy that aims to frighten audiences while poking fun at modern day horror cliches much like the original did in 1996. Screenwriter Kevin Williamson (“The Vampire Diaries”) told the NY Post last year that he planned to reference J-Horror, PG-13 thrillers, vampire flicks, manga comics, and, most promising, torture-porn.
Model and sometime actress Adrianne Curry thrilled virgins of all ages at the 2010 Wizard World Comic Con held in Philadelphia last weekend. The 27-year-old Cosplay enthusiast attended the convention outfitted in what I assume is a sexed-up version of Admiral Natasi Daala, an Imperial Navy officer in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
When not signing autographs, Curry hit the floor to take photographs with some of her favorite Star Wars characters including intergalactic bounty hunter Boba Fett, an Imperial Stormtrooper, Slave Leia, and, of course, Sith Lord Darth Vader.
I love Comic-Con! I have a tendency to molest and pester every stormtrooper and Fett who’s unfortunate enough to cross my path. I possess a bit of an armor fetish.
Curry is best known for being the first winner on the CW network’s reality show “America’s Next Top Model.” She has also starred in the straight-to-DVD thrillers Jack Rio and Fallen Angels.
