“30 Rock” star Katrina Bowden has netted a role in Dimension Films’ new fish-&-chicks frightener Piranha 3-DD. The insanely hot 22-year-old joins a cast that includes Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies), Meagan Tandy (Unstoppable), Gary Busey (Predator 2) and a bevy of nameless, top-heavy starlets.

Directed by John Gulager (Feast 1-3) and written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw 4-7), Piranha 3-DD is set at a popular water park during summer. Shooting on the film began exactly a week ago in Wilmington, NC.

Bowden, who was voted this year’s Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire readers, has starred in director Eli Craig’s still-in-distribution-limbo hillbilly-horror-comedy Tucker and Dale VS. Evil and the 2009 home-video slasher The Shortcut.

Laura Vandervoort, best known as Supergirl on “Smallville” and alien-vistor Lisa on “V,” has been cast in “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane’s supernatural comedy—and feature film debut—Ted. The 26-year-old stunner joins a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg and fellow hotties Mila Kunis and Jessica Stroup.

Ted tells the tale of a man (Wahlberg) whose childhood Christmas wish for his teddy bear (MacFarlane) to come to life and be his best friend not only happens, but proves to be disastrous 25-years later when the bear has grown into a full-blown degenerate.

Vandervoort has been cast as Tanya, a gorgeous salesgirl who doesn’t know she’s gorgeous and works alongside Wahlberg’s character at a car rental service. Additional costars include Joel McHale (”Community”), Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar), and Patrick Warburton (Men in Black 2).

Universal Pictures plans to unleash Ted in theaters on July 13, 2012.

Universal Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s (28 Weeks Later) new creepy-as-fuck ghost story Intruders, in theaters Oct. 7.

Costars include Carice Van Houten (Black Death), Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave) and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds).
