Sharni-Vinson-tight-bikini

Aussie up-and-comer Sharni Vinson is set to star in director Mark Hartley’s (Machete Maidens Unleashed) remake of renowned genre filmmaker Richard Franklin’s (Psycho 2, Cloak & Dagger) 1978 Australian frightener Patrick.

Patrick is the story of a man who falls into a comatose state after murdering his mother and her lover three years prior. When a beautiful nurse (Vinson) is assigned to his care, he uses psychokinetic powers to communicate with her and to destroy those who get in the way of his new found obsession.

Vinson is coming off Adam Wingard’s (A Horrible Place to Die) surprise Toronto Film Festival darling You’re Next, a violent home-invasion thriller acquired by Lionsgate to launch a franchise similar to Saw, and Russell Mulcahy and Kimble Rendall’s upcoming shark flick Bait 3-D.

Her most frightening movie to date remains Step Up 3-D.
