If you watched Morgan Spurlock’s (Super Size Me) most recent documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, about the lives of hardcore movie and comic geeks, and thought it needed more ass-less Aeon Flux costumes and less Kevin Smith, you won’t want to miss Adrianne Curry’s new show.
“Adrianne Curry’s Super Fans” is set to launch in September on Stan Lee’s new all original-programming YouTube channel “World of Heroes.” The show finds the model/Cos-play enthusiast visiting movie, comic and gaming fans at conventions and at their homes, all while sporting some sexy cos-play outfits of her own.
Jessica Biel has backed out of playing sexy villainess Viper in 20th Century Fox’s The Wolverine, a sequel to the studio’s horrible X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Stepping into the dog shit role is Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova, reports Twitch.
Khodchenkova joins a cast that includes Hal Yamanouchi (Push) as Yashida, Tao Okamoto as one-time Wolverine fiancee Mariko, Rila Fukushima as assassin Yukio, Hiroyuki Sanada (“LOST”) as Wolverine foe the Silver Samurai and Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine.
Khodchenkova has starred in a variety of Russian films and posed for the October 2008 issue of Playboy Russia. The 29-year-old is best known in America for her role in the old-people thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
The Wolverine is directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day, 3:10 to Yuma).
Model-turned-actress Paula Labaredas is Portugal’s answer to Adrianne Curry. The Cos-play enthusiast—who makes one drop-dead sexy Vampirella—hit Comic-Con last week to promote her new Roger Corman film Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader and to show off her new Spidergirl costume.
Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader follows an awkward college coed (Jena Sims) whose use of an experimental drug to become a popular and beautiful cheerleader makes her grow into a 50-foot giant. Labaredas plays one of the sorority sisters at the house of Zeta.
Labaredas can also be seen in the creature-feature Camel Spiders, as a Princess Leia cos-player in the Seth Rogan-voiced alien-comedy Paul, and in the sex comedies Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation and National Lampoon’s Cattle Call. She also stars in Dave Edwards’ documentary ComicCosplay.
