Universal Pictures has released a trailer for Soulm8te, an erotic thriller set in the M3GAN universe from Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster. Originally slated for release earlier this year, the spinoff was derailed after M3GAN 2.0 tanked at the box office by trading its horror roots for camp.

Directed by Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother), Soulm8te tells the story of a man who purchases a hot AI robot to bang and do dishes after the death of his wife. Unfortunately, he diddles it in the wrong way and she goes haywire like a real wife.

Aussie babe Lily Sullivan (Evil Dead Rise) plays the sentient sex-bot in Soulm8te. She’s got some big heels to fill, given the inevitable comparisons to Megan Fox in Subservience, ranked in Clatto’s esteemed list of The 10 Sexiest Horror Films of 2024.

Soulm8te premieres on digital Aug. 1.
