Alexa Vega is the latest to join director Darren Bousman’s new 45-minute musical horror show The Devil’s Carnival. The duo previously worked together on Bousman’s Mother’s Day remake and his beloved sci-fi musical Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Starring alongside Vega are Briana Evigan (Sorority Row), Taryn Manning (Manson Girls), Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects), Sean Patrick Flannery (Saw 3-D), Paul Sorvino (Repo! The Genetic Opera), Skinny Puppy vocalist Nivek Ogre and musician/performance artist Emilie Autumn.

Vega is best known for her starring role as daughter Carmen Cortez in Robert Rodriguez’s crazy successful family adventure franchise Spy Kids, a role the now 23-year-old starlet has been playing since age 13.

Actress Briana Evigan tweeted news last night that will serve as music to horror fans’ ears. The Los Angeles-born stunner is joining director Darren Bousman’s (Repo! The Genetic Opera) new musical horror show The Devil’s Carnival.

Evigan, who teamed up with Bousman on last year’s Mother’s Day remake, has starred in a number of notable frighteners, including Summit’s Sorority Row redo, the 2009 Donnie Darko sequel S. Darko, and the oh-shit-there’s-a-tiger-in-my-living-room thriller Burning Bright.

The Devil’s Carnival is now shooting and costars genre babe Taryn Manning (Manson Girls) and career villain Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects).

Marilyn Manson has released a music video for his new single “Born Villain.”  The most shocking thing about it? It’s directed by Hollywood ass-hat Shia LaBeouf … and there’s a vagina with an eyeball. There’s also boobies and body suspension and some cheesy Shakespeare readings—which I’m sure will conjure up English Lit nightmares for us all.

“Born Villain” is the title track to Manson’s upcoming eighth studio album.

Pop star Britney Spears shares her vision of earth’s impending apocalypse in her new music video entitled “Till the World Ends.” From the looks of it, Armageddon will see cities crumble to the ground as gay guys with faux-hawk hairdos rave in the streets.

According to Spears manager, the 29-year-old singer’s upcoming Femme Fatale shows will feature a post-apocalyptic theme. The tour is slated to start June 17 in Sacramento and will run for 26 dates through North America.

She’s no Katy Perry, but here ya go:

Pop singer Katy Perry stars as a top-heavy alien creature out to have a close encounter with a robot in her new music video “E.T.”  If you’ve read or heard Perry speak about her strictly religious and conservative upbringing, you’ll know by video’s end—when the robot reveals itself—that the whole thing is just a metaphor for having sex with a black guy.

Alessandra Torresani is once again causing sci-fi fans to feel a disturbance in their pants. The 23-year-old star of Syfy’s now defunct “Battlestar Galactica” prequel series “Caprica” dons Princess Leia’s Return of the Jedi slave girl bikini in Break Originals’ music video parody of Enrique Iglesias’ love ballad “Tonight, I’m Fucking You.”

Entitled “Tonight, I’m Frakkin’ You,” the video finds a Vulcan Jedi navigating the nightclub scene in a galaxy far, far away. The song gives mad props to many of the sci-fi and superhero genres’ most beloved movies and shows, including  Star Wars, Star Trek, “LOST,” “Dr. Who,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Dollhouse,” Spiderman, Back to the Future, and Harry Potter.

While not quite on Weird Al Yankovic (”Yoda,” “The Saga Begins”) level, the force is, nonetheless, strong with this parody. Chances are the tune will ear-worm its way into your head so you may as well learn the lyrics:

Tricia Helfer is bloodthirsty femme fatale Alexa Wolff in director Chris Marrs Piliero’s music video for The Black Keys Las Teclas De Negro’s chart-topper “Howlin’ for You.” Shot as a faux movie trailer, the video costars Sean Patrick Flanery, genre stars Diora Baird and Corbin Bernsen, Twilight’s Christian Serratos, Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, and Todd “You’ll never know what I’m talking about” Bridges.

The synopsis reads:

Alexa Wolff, a sexy assassin with a troubled past, unknowingly falls in love with the man who killed her father. He is not her first love, though. Two other men came before. But they would not have her. Now, all grown up with an appetite for revenge, Alexa’s leaving a trail of bloody corpses and broken hearts in her wake.

Former Guns & Roses/Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash announced the launch of Slasher Films at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The 45-year-old musician told reporters that he had four projects currently in development: Nothing to Fear, Wake the Dead (an adaptation of the graphic novel), Vincenzo Natali’s Theorem, and The Other Kingdom, a hospital-based thriller from the writer of Event Horizon.

Production on Nothing to Fear, a demonic frightener, is slated to begin later this year. But, if you just can’t wait to see what Slash has got under his hat for horror fans, you can get an idea by checking out his new music video for the song “Beautiful Dangerous.” The video features Black Eye Peas’ singer and meal-ticket Fergie as an obsessed groupie-turned-stalker on the verge of losing her mind … and pants.

Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat shows off her serpentine moves in a new music video promoting her long-delayed snake-woman thriller Hisss. Entitled “Sway,” the song marks Sherawat’s singing debut and is based on an old Indian folksong about the half-woman/half-snake creature known as the Nagin.

Hisss is directed by Jennifer Lynch (Surveillance) and stars Sherawat as a Nagin serpent-woman out for blood after her lover is murdered. The film was shot in India and costars renowned Indian actor Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire).

Despite having played at the AFM, Cannes, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the flick has yet to strike a distribution deal in the States.

Jorge Garcia, best known for his role as Hurley on ABC’s “LOST,” will be featured on the cover of rock-outfit Weezer’s eight studio album entitled … “Hurley.”

Dude.

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo tells Spinner:

We struggled super hard trying to come up with an album title, trying to find some kind of phrase that summed up the whole aesthetic behind the album: ‘Heavy Mental,’ ‘Smaller Than Life’. I was coming up with all kinds of stuff, but ultimately, we just went with some random word that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything.

I just loved this photo of Jorge Garcia — it just had this amazing vibe. We didn’t want to do a fourth self-titled record and we knew people would refer to it as ‘the Hurley record’ even if left it without that title, so we just called it ‘Hurley.’ No words are on the cover because all we wanted was his amazing face.

Cuomo goes on to point out that none of the songs on the “Hurley” disc contain references to “LOST” and admits to still being stuck on season two of the Emmy-nominated sci-fi series.

He says:

I only made it through season two, so I was really nervous hanging out with Hurley/Jorge recently, because I didn’t want to hear something about how it all resolves, or overhear anyone else talking about it. I really like the show though.

“Hurley” marks the band’s first release through indie label Epitaph Records (they were previously signed to Geffen Records/Interscope for 12 years). The CD arrives in stores on Sept. 14.

Garcia told TVGuide.com:

I’m excited to know that people in the music stores I used to work will soon be opening boxes full of my smiling face.

Garcia will also be seen as island protector in the eagerly anticipated 12-minute epilogue included in the “LOST” season six DVD/Blu-ray release, available Aug. 24.

“LOST” is nominated this year for 11 Emmys, including nods for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for lead Matthew Fox (Jack Shepard), and Outstanding Supporting Actor for both Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus)and Terry o’Quinn (John Locke).
