Shooting has commenced on Image Works Entertainment’s 3-D remake of Japanese filmmaker Ataru Oikawa’s creepy J-Horror frightener Apartment 1303. The film stars “The O.C.’s” Mischa Barton (pictured above), Rebecca De Mornay (Mother’s Day), and Julianne Michelle (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps).

Apartment 1303 follows a young woman, who while  investigating the mysterious suicide of her sister, discovers a malevolent force that may have caused her sibling—and many women before her—to jump to their deaths from the room’s 13-story balcony.

The supernatural thriller is directed by Swedish filmmaker Daniel Fridell and costars vagina-less actors John Diehl (Stargate) and Robert Blanche (Zombie Apocalypse). Production is currently taking place in Montreal.

IFC Midnight has released a teaser trailer for director Chris Peckover’s intense and timely feature film debut Undocumented. Written by Peckover and Joe Peterson, the sure-to-be controversial thriller follows a group of young filmmakers taken hostage by vigilante “patriots” in New Mexico and forced to document the torture and murder of the Mexican immigrants they catch crossing the border.

Undocumented stars Alona Tal (Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3-D), Scott Mechlowicz (Mean Creek), Kevin Weisman (”Alias”), Greg Serano (”Scoundrels”), Yancey Arias (Legion), Noah Segan (Chain Letter), and Nicholas Tucci (Choose). IFC Midnight will make the film available for viewing ON Demand nationwide on Sept. 14.

Peep it:

Joe Roth, producer of Universal Pictures’ soon-to-start-shooting Snow White and the Huntsman, describes the Rupert Sanders-directed project as being a “tough, rough male and female action movie” on the scale of Lord of the Rings.

The film finds Kristen Stewart (Twilight Saga) playing Snow White as a brooding warrior-princess caught in a love triangle with two dwarfs—or something like that. I just really hope the movie isn’t so hardcore that they can’t include a scene in which cute woodland critters help Snow White put on her armor.

Snow White and the Huntsman costars Charlize Theron as the Queen, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, and Sam Claflin as the Prince. Images of the actors in costume were revealed at Comic-Con, but you can peep them right here:

Footage from writer/director Andrew Niccol’s (Gattaca) upcoming sci-fi dystopian-thriller In Time (previously entitled Now) was premiered today at the film’s Comic-Con panel. Clocking in at almost four-minutes, the reel sets up Niccol’s story about a futuristic society where people physically stop aging at 25 and must find ways to buy or exchange time to live on.

Justin Timberlake stars as Will, a fugitive wanted for taking time that is not legally his. Amanda Seyfried is his hostage-turned-ally Sylvia, a bored-to-death socialite with too much time on her hands. Together they try to stay ahead of gangster Fortis and Time Keeper Raymond Leon, played by Alex Pettyfer and Cillian Murphy, respectively.

Olivia Wilde is also along for the ride as Will’s insanely hot mom.

Anchor Bay Entertainment has set an Aug. 23 home-video release date for director Eric Valette’s (One Missed Call) ode to killer car flicks Super Hybrid. The film stars pretty Canadian up-and-comer Shannon Beckner (American Pie: Beta House), who—according to her IMDB bio—had to learn how to weld to get the role (those Hollywood casting guys sure are a kinky bunch).

The film’s synopsis reads:

Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it’s a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning — and outwitting — humans.

Super Hybrid costars the very sexy Melanie Papalia (American Pie: Book of Love), Ryan Kennedy (“Hellcats”), and Oded Fehr (Resident Evil: Extinction).

The poster seen above showcasing actress Freida Pinto as Phaedra the oracle priestess is one of seven released by Relativity Media to promote their upcoming Clash of the Titans inspired swords-and-sandals epic The Immortals.

Directed by Tarsem Singh, The Immortals tells the story of Theseus (Henry Cavill), a mortal man chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans) to take down King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his bloodthirsty army before they find a deadly weapon that could destroy all of humanity.

Filling out the cast are Twilight’s Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, Stephen Dorf as master thief Stavros, Daniel Sharman as Ares and Isabel Lucas as the Goddess Athena. The film is set to be in theaters on Nov. 11.

Natalie Scheetz, Katie Stegeman, and Joanna Sotomura make their feature film debuts in 22-year-old director Eric England’s indie-slasher Madison County. My inability to surf the web without stopping to sign up for interracial sex sites at every pop-up kept me from digging up any info on the girls, but they are hot and do a damn good job of screaming.

Budgeted at around $75,000, Madison County follows five college kids as they investigate the small mountain town’s history of grisly murders at the hands of one Damien Ewell. England describes his film on his blog this way:

I wanted to tell a very classic story and take it back to the roots. The same way Ti West did with House of the Devil. I wanted to make a movie that I would like to see.

Is there a place for big tits and tons of over the top gore? Yeah.. but not in Madison County. This is a raw, gritty, very real type of film.

We’re pushing for a THEATRICAL RELEASE. The characters in this film have a voice, and a purpose, and just when you think they’re cliched.. they’re not.

I’m going to forgive England’s dismissal of big tits this one time because the trailer looks pretty fucking sweet (peep it below).

Madison County costars Ace Marrero, Colley Bailey, Adrienne Harrell, Matt Mercer, and Laid to Rest’s resident killer Nick Principe as Damien Ewell.

Little Deaths, a kinky horror anthology pic from U.K. directors Sean Hogan (Lie Still), Andrew Parkinson (Venus Drowning), and Simon Rumley (Red, White, & Blue), will hold its North American premiere at this year’s SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX. Three tales in all, the film follows dysfunctional couples done in by their psychosexual tendencies.

Bitch: Written and Directed by Simon Rumley

Stuck in a destructive relationship that isn’t going anywhere and lousy dead-end jobs which have no future, Claire and Pete live in a council flat and are united only in their love of rock music. The flame of passion having long since died, the couple derives a strange sexual pleasure from an unspoken sadomasochistic role-playing game where Claire finds new and inventive ways of mistreating Pete – and Pete, ever the devoted lap dog, takes what she dishes out time and time again. But in an unspoken game the boundaries are hazy, and when Claire unwittingly takes things one step too far, Pete devises a way to teach the bitch to heel, once and for all.

Little Deaths stars Kate Braithewaite, Daniel Brocklebank, Brendan Gregory, Siubhan Harrison, Jodie Jameson, Luke de Lacey, Holly Lucas, Jason Maza, Tom Sawyer, and Christopher Fairbanks.

Looks like it’s going to be a good year for horror comedy. Magnet Films is set to roll funny Frenchman Quentin Dupieux’s outrageous hell-on-wheel thriller Rubber into theaters on—wait for it—April 1. Of course, the tale of a homicidal, telekinetic tire named Robert would be completely unrelatable without a love story—hence, the new poster (pictured above) teasing Robert’s inflatuation.

Rubber’s official synopsis reads:

Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert, suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes without having to move.

At first content to prey on small desert creatures and various discarded objects, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path.

Scream queen and August ‘07 Playboy model Christa Campbell is gonna need a big can of Raid to survive Nu Image Films’ recently wrapped creature-feature Spiders 3-D. Directed by Tibor Takacs (The Gate), the film stars Campbell as a New Yorker with great breasts attempting to survive an infestation of giant mutant spiders.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

Following a crash of an old Soviet space station in New York City’s subway tunnel, a new species of poisonous spiders is discovered. Inadvertently the spiders mutate to gigantic proportions and wreak havoc on the entire city.

Spiders 3-D, which was actually shot in Bulgaria in the same Boyana studio where the new Conan reboot was filmed, is said to feature a variety of gigantic arachnids. Patrick Muldoon (Starship Troopers) and 13-year-old newbie Sydney Sweeney (The Ward) are on board as Campbell’s husband and daughter.

Additional costars include Johnny Yong Bosch (Insidious), William Hope (Sherlock Holmes), Shelly Varod (Universal Soldier: Regeneration), and Jon Mack (Saw 6).

Campbell can currently be seen in Millennium Films’ (a division of Nu Image) supernatural actioner Drive Angry 3-D, in which she goes nude during a cat-fight with Amber Heard.
