Anchor Bay Entertainment has released a boner-inducing new poster for director Steven R. Monroe’s I Spit On your Grave remake (pictured above). The sexy one sheet features newbie actress Sarah Butler and her alluring dirt-smeared ass paying homage to Meir Zarchi’s controversial 1978 revenge-thriller Day of the Woman (re-released in 1980 as I Spit On Your Grave).

The new poster is far more enticing than the original, which depicted Butler as a disheveled mad-woman out to castrate her assailants with a pair of gardening shears (a serious buzz-kill for fans of non-consensual sodomy).

I Spit On Your Grave stars Butler in the role of Jennifer Hill (originally played by Camille Keaton), a young novelist on a mission to maim, dismember, and murder the men who brutally and repeatedly gang-raped her while she was on vacation.

The film arrives in theaters on Oct. 8 and is reportedly being released in all of its Unrated glory (Fuck yeah).

Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat has tweeted a couple of new posters from her eagerly awaited creature-feature Hisss. Directed by Jennifer Lynch, the film stars Sherawat as a deadly half-woman/half-snake creature known in Eastern folklore as the Nagin.

Though shot in India, Hisss marks the 33-year-old stunner’s American feature debut. It’s no surprise she has really taken to promoting the film.  To see her charming snakes of all sizes during a photo call at the 63rd annual Cannes Film Festival, click here.

Hisss is still seeking distribution in the States. Let’s hope it finds it quick, along with the other “I-Horror” flicks being produced.

Warner Bros. is finally pulling the trigger on promotional material for its upcoming Jonah Hex film adaptation, starring Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich, and Michael Fassbender.

Just a day ago, we saw a stroke-worthy photo of star Megan Fox in a corset, thigh-high boots, and wielding a hatchet. Now, we have sexy and glossy poster featuring Fox as Hex’s hooker-girlfriend Leila.

The studio also released posters showcasing the film’s vagina-less stars.

The official synopsis reads:

A remake of the controversial 1979 cult classic, I Spit on Your Grave retells the horrific tale of writer Jennifer Hills, who takes a retreat from the city to a charming cabin in the woods to start on her next book. But Jennifer’s presence in the small town attracts the attention of a few morally deprived locals who set out one night to teach this city girl a lesson.

They break into her cabin to scare her. However, what starts out as terrifying acts of humiliation and intimidation quickly and uncontrollably escalates into a night of physical abuse and torturous assault. But before they can kill her, Jennifer sacrifices her broken and beaten body to a raging river that washes her away.

As time passes, the men slowly stop searching for her body and try to go back to life as usual. But that isn’t about to happen. Against all odds, Jennifer Hills survived her ordeal. Now, with hell-bent vengeance, Jennifer’s sole purpose is to turn the tables on these animals and to inflict upon them every horrifying and torturous moment they carried out on her… only much, much worse.

If Monroe’s film is true to Meir Zarchi’s original, I predict this film will be almost as emasculating to watch as Sex in the City 2.

To ensure that 13-year-old fan boys and 40-year-old virgins don’t hurt themselves while feverishly admiring Iron Man 2 sex-pot Scarlett Johansson in the film’s new poster, Marvel Entertainment have decided to only show half of the gorgeous blonde’s redhead’s body.

The poster showcases Johansson as the Black Widow and was printed exclusively for this weekend’s Wondercon convention in San Francisco, Ca (pick yours up at booth #242).

Iron Man 2 is directed by Jon Favreau and costars Robert Downy Jr.,  Mickey Rourke, Samuel Jackson, Don Cheadle, and—the now completely overshadowed—Gwyneth Paltrow. The film flies into theaters on May 7.

Anchor Bay Entertainment presented MTV with an exclusive look at the new one-sheet (pictured above) for their upcoming psychological thriller After.Life. The poster is less creepy than the first and showcases its three lead actors: Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson, and Justin Long.

After.Life, which held its premiere back in November as part of the AFI Fest in Los Angeles, is director Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s long-awaited feature film debut. The film’s plot centers on a young woman (Ricci), the victim of an automobile accident, who awakens to find that she is being prepped for burial by a mysterious mortician (Neeson) who insists that she is ready to crossover to the hereafter.

After.Life will have a limited theatrical run starting on April 9. The film is rated R for its disturbing images, language, and generous helping of Christina Ricci nudity.

Platinum Dunes have released two new posters (pictured above) for its upcoming remake of the 1984 Wes Craven classic A Nightmare on Elm Street, arriving in theaters on April 30. The posters showcase Jackie Earle Haley as iconic child molester/killer Freddy Krueger.

Haley’s impressive creds include Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence (just checking to see if you’re paying attention), and Todd Field’s Little Children, for which Haley received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of the film’s tormented child rapist Ronnie McGorvey.

We’re still a few weeks away from going back to the island, but ABC is tossing us “Lost” fans a couple of lifelines to get us through the wait. Here you see two new promotional posters for the Emmy award-winning show’’s sixth and final season. The cast was shot in a recreation of Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper painting.

ABC has also released an eight-minute-plus recap of seasons 1-thru-5. I’m not sure if the clip is really meant to aid johnny-come-latelies (aka: poseurs) or to simply amuse die-hard fans with its quirky narration. Either way, kudos to the folks who put it together. Check it out:

“Lost” final season kicks off on Feb. 2 with a two-hour episode airing at 9 p.m. A one-hour refresher-clip show will precede the broadcast. And, don’t forget … ABC has moved “Lost” from its previous Wednesday night slot to Tuesdays.

The synopsis reads:

Jenny (Angelica Jansson) is a young woman with a dark past. During her childhood she witnessed something terrifying that scarred her for life. Now, ten years later years later, Jenny has created a new life of her own.

In the last days of summer, in the deep, dark woods of Sweden, Jenny and four friends gather in a cozy cottage for a weekend of partying, fun and relaxation.  This abruptly ends when Jenny wakes up in the morning to find herself alone in the cottage. Thinking that her friends are playing a prank on her she goes searching for them- but they are gone without a trace. Yet, where would they go in the middle of the woods? And why is the car still parked out front?  Jenny spends a torturous day waiting for her friends to return.

As darkness once again engulfs the cottage, Jenny must face the fact that she has been left alone. In the darkness. In the middle of nowhere. Or has she?  Is she really all alone?  No. SomeTHING is out there in the woods. A ghost, perhaps. Or a creature. Or somebody from Jenny’s frightening past.  As the night grows darker, shadowy figures haunt the cottage. Unrecognizable voices whisper Jenny’s name. Nightmares come to life. Is Jenny losing her mind?  Evil closes in as the story reaches its blood-soaked, twisted conclusion.

Mara is slated for a Feb. release.

Looks like director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Momento) will mess with our heads again with his upcoming mind-control thriller Inception.  The impressive cast is led by Leonardo DiCaprio and includes Ellen Page, Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, and Michael Cain.

DiCaprio plays a business man involved in a process that allows him access into people’s minds and dreams. Things get complicated, however, when a rival (Watanabe) begins to blackmail him. The film opens in theaters on July 16, 2010.
