A sales trailer for Darclight Films’ upcoming shark frightener Bait 3-D has finally surfaced online. Set in Queensland, Australia, the Kimble Rendall-directed film finds a group of tsunami survivors trapped in a supermarket with violent thieves and man-eating sharks

In a sleepy beach community, shoppers at an underground supermarket are terrorized by a crazed bandit when the unimaginable occurs: A monstrous freak tsunami swallows the town. Now trapped, with rushing water threatening to entomb them in a watery grave, the survivors discover they are not alone.

The tsunami has brought unwanted visitors from the depths. Not only must they overcome the threat of drowning and the predator within their midst, but a threat far more deadly and far more bloodthirsty – packs of hungry tiger sharks.

Bait 3-D stars Xavier Samuel (Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Julian McMahon (Faces in the Crowd), Alice Parkinson (Sanctum), Alexander Russell (Chronicle), Lincoln Lewis (”Home and Away”) and babes Sharni Vinson (You’re Next) and Phoebe Tonkin (”Secret Circle”).

A full-length trailer for Sony Pictures’ The Amazing Spiderman has hit the web. Based on the Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley “Ultimate Spiderman” comics, the reboot serves as an origins story that finds our friendly neighborhood crime fighter back in high school.

The Marc Webb-directed film stars Andrew Garfield (Spiderman), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Denis Leary (Capt. George Stacy), Rhys Ifans (The Lizard), Chris Zylka (Flash Thompson), Sally Field (May Parker), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker) and C. Thomas Howell as the Soul Man.

The Amazing Spiderman swings into theaters on July 3.

Although it’s not about a Sunset Strip hair-metal band, Accent Films Metal Tornado is every bit as ridiculous and every bit as awesome. Starring Canadian starlet Nicole de Boer, Lou Diamond Phillips and Briana Evigan’s dad, the film revolves around a magnetic twister destroying everything in its path.

Boer has starred in a string of notable genre projects, including the very funny 2008 rock-n-roll vampire comedy Suck, Vincenzo Natali’s 1997 sci-fi masterpiece Cube, Paramount’s syndicated series “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and USA’s “Stephen King’s Dead Zone.”

Metal Tornado is forecast to hit DVD on May 22, following its VOD premiere on May 8.

Professional dancer-turned-actress Rachele Brooke Smith is ready to tango with the devil. The Arizona-born stunner has joined writer/director Justin Price’s The Cloth, a horror-actioner starring Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts as priests fighting demonic possession …

… with shotguns and cool sci-fi gadgetry.

The very bendy Smith, whose dance skills have been featured in such fam-friendly productions as Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Iron Man 2 (as an Ironette) and “Glee (the Britney Spears episode),” plays Julia, a possessed young woman who somehow still looks super hot.

The passengers on board Grudge director Takashi Shimizu’s new in-flight frightener 7500 have had enough of mother-fucking ghosts on their mother-fucking plane. Unfortunately for them, Samual Jackson is no where to be found.

The passenger log does, however, include Amy Smart and Ryan Kwanten as a married couple on their way to visit with friends in Japan, fellow travelers Christian Serratos, Jerry Ferrara, Scout Taylor-Compton and sexy flight attendants Jamie Chung, Leslie Bibb, and Nicky Whelan.

7500 arrives in theaters on Aug. 31.

Australian writer/director Tom Conyers makes his feature film debut with The Caretaker, an intelligent you-watch-my-back-and-I-won’t-stake-yours vampire thriller starring Aussie stage actress Anna Kate Burgess (”Time Warp: A Rocky Horror Tribute Show”).

As a wave of vampirism sweeps the world, Annie and Guy, who have taken a road trip in a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship, find themselves part of a discordant group holed up in a decrepit country mansion.

Manipulation, deceit and betrayal within the group threaten the fragile agreement, leading to a terrifying and heart-rending showdown.

The Caretaker costars newcomer Clint Dowdell, Colin MacPherson (Parallels) and Lee Mason (Parallels). No word on a release date yet, but there is a website to stay informed and peep some cool BTS stuff.

Well Go USA Entertainment has set a March 20 home-video release date for director Simeon Halligan’s long-delayed creature-feature Splintered. ”Hollyoaks” alumna Holly Weston toplines the film, which won six awards at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best F/X and Best Makeup.

Magnolia Pictures will release writer/director Bobcat Goldthwait’s (World’s Greatest Dad) spree-killer comedy God Bless America on VOD April 6 and in theaters for a limited run on May 11. Joel Murray (”Mad Men”) and 18-year-old up-and-comer Tara Lynne Barr star as an unlikely murderous duo out to off the rude, the spoiled and the clueless.

Fun Fact 2: I ran into Goldthwait at an AA meeting many years ago. At least, I think it was him. I was drunk. But I’m pretty sure it was.

Euforia has released the first full-length trailer for Norwegian filmmaker Aleksander Nordaas’ disturbingly sexy mythological creature-feature Thale. The film stars Silje Reinamo (Dunderland) as a deadly woodland nymph known in Norwegian folklore as the Huldra.

Huldras are beautiful, cow-tailed women who lure horny outdoorsmen deep into the woods to never be seen again … well, at least they’re not fat. Thale will play theaters in Norway on Feb. 17. No word on a North American release date.

AnnaLynne McCord (”90210″) stars opposite Antonio Sabato Jr. (”My Antonio”) and James Brolin (”Hotel”) in Bad Actor Island Bad Girl Island, a Caribbean-set supernatural thriller about a mysterious seductress who just may be a voodoo witch … or something.

When the enchanting Simone (McCord) mysteriously appears on the tropical island of Eleuthera, no man can resist her deadly charm.

After seducing wealthy film producer Michael Pace (Sabato, Jr.) in his dreams, she comes back to haunt him in real life when his best friend is found murdered and the only evidence is a video of his friend making love to Simone and of course Michael’s dream.

Surprisingly, Simone shows up at a casting session with Pace and famous director Terry Bamba (Brolin), and soon they are all entwined in a deadly game of deception, seduction, and revenge.
