Australian director Richard Grey is making a time-bending thriller for your penis. Entitled Mine Games, the film stars Briana Evigan, Julianna Guill, and Rebecca Da Costa as part of a group of vacationing friends who discover while exploring an abandoned mine that someone’s past actions will kill them all.

Evigan, daughter to Greg Evigan (”B.J. and the Bear”), has starred in such frighteners as Sorority Row, the Donnie Darko sequel S. Darko, and the oh-shit-there’s-a-tiger-in-my-living-room thriller Burning Bright. She’ll next be seen in Darren Lynn Bousman’s Mother’s Day remake and screenwriter W. Peter Iliff directorial debut Rites of Passage.

Guill’s creds include Platinum Dunes Friday the 13th reboot (for which she went topless), MTV’s My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Parts 1 & 2, the in-flight frightener Altitude, and Dark Castle Entertainment’s upcoming Ashley Greene/Sebastian Stan vehicle The Apparition. Both Guill and Evigan made Clatto’s list of The 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-fi Today.

Mine Games also stars vagina-less actors Joseph Cross (Untraceable), Ethan Peck (The Sorceror’s Aprentice), Rafi Gavron (”Life Unexpected”), and Alex Meraz (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn). The film is currently in production.

Model-turned-actress Rebecca Da Costa is set to star in director Kevin Carraway’s (Fear Chamber) time warp thriller Seven Below. She joins a cast that includes Ving Rhames (Piranha 3-DD), Luke Goss (Death Race 2: Frankenstein Lives), and fat Val Kilmer (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call—New Orleans).

Seven Below centers on four strangers trapped in a house in the woods by a powerful storm that threatens to bring with it a horrible event from the past. The film, once scheduled to shoot in New Mexico, goes into production next month in Cincinnati.

Da Costa has a handful of creds under her garter belt, including last year’s silly horror-indie Trick of the Witch. The 5-foot-11 Latin looker played a fashion model trapped during a shoot in a mansion by malicious supernatural forces.

Fox has released a full-length trailer for its Steven Spielberg-produced time travel adventure series “Terra Nova.” The show follows the Shannon family as they’re sent back to The Land of the Lost prehistoric times to escape present day doom on Earth.

TERRA NOVA follows an ordinary family on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. In the year 2149, the world is dying. The series centers on the Shannon family as they join the Tenth Pilgrimage of settlers to Terra Nova, the first colony established in this beautiful yet forbidding land. Upon the Shannon’s arrival, they are introduced to Commander Nathaniel Taylor (Stephen Lang), the charismatic and heroic first pioneer and leader of the settlement.

Along with blue skies, towering waterfalls and lush vegetation, the surrounding terrain is teeming with danger – and not just of the man-eating dinosaur variety. There is also a splinter colony of renegades led by the battle-hardened MIRA (Christine Adams), who is vehemently opposed to Taylor and his leadership.

Even more threatening than what lies outside the protective walls of the colony is the chilling possibility that something sinister is happening inside Terra Nova. The Shannons will come to suspect that not everyone on this mission has the same idea of how to best save mankind; in fact, there may be forces intent on destroying this new world before it even begins.

“Terra Nova”stars Jason O’Mara (Resident Evil: Extinction), Stephen Lang (Avatar), Shelley Conn (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Allison Miller (Blood: the Last Vampire), Landon Liboiron (Altitude), Christine Adams (Tron: Legacy) and Naomi Scott (”Life Bites”).

The series is set to premiere in the fall on Fox.

A trailer for Summit Entertainment’s upcoming “Quantum Leap” meets Groundhog Day sci-fi-actioner Source Code is circulating the web. The film marks director Duncan Jones American debut and is his eagerly awaited followup to the 2009 British thriller Moon.

Source Code stars Jake Gyllenhaal (Prince of Persia) as a soldier reliving the last eight minutes of a terrorist train bombing through the eyes of one of its doomed passengers. His mission is to determine who is responsible for the attack and report his findings to his mission commander, played by the milfy Vera Farmiga (Orphan).

Brunette babe Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye) costars as one of the train’s sexier passengers and Gyllenhaal’s eventual love interest.

Source Code is slated for release on April 15, 2011.

Life just got a little less ka-ka for fans of NBC’s long-departed time-travel series “Quantum Leap.” During the show’s retrospective panel at this year’s Comic-Con, series star Scott Bakula announced that creator Donald P. Bellisario is working on getting a “Quantum Leap” movie off the ground.

Sadly, Bakula also revealed that his and costar Dean Stockwell’s respective roles as Dr. Sam Beckett and Rear Admiral Al Calavicci will most likely be recast for the update … Oh, boy.

Bakula explains:

The good news is that Don is working on the film script and has a big time Hollywood producer who wants to do it … It’s about time. Dean and I will have a part in it somehow.

Don did say that as he was writing, he told me he was having trouble, ‘getting you and Dean out of my head.’ But I know he will do it.

From 1989 to 1993, Dr. Sam Beckett (Bakula) attempted to find his way home after a time travel experiment left him lost in the past, leaping into people’s bodies at various points in history to “put right what once went wrong” in their lives. Beckett never made it home.

As a “Quantum Leap” die-hard, I think it’d be far more interesting to catch up with an older Sam Beckett and see the effects that time travel has had on him physically and emotionally. And, Al’s a hologram! Use some of that Tron: Legacy magic to keep him looking like back-in-the-day.

Ah, who am I kidding? I’m sure Taylor Lautner’s phone is already lighting up.

Bakula and Stockwell both picked up Golden Globes awards for their performances during the show’s run.

Paradox Entertainment, the company behind Marcus Nispel’s Conan the Barbarian reboot, is set to launch Buck Rogers 3-D. Paul W.S. Anderson will direct the project from a script by Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Anderson tells Variety:

Buck has already been such a huge influence on action-adventure franchises like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Indiana Jones,’ so for me it is a thrilling opportunity to be allowed to return to the source, and relaunch such an epic character.

The plot for the new Rogers film is being kept under wraps for now. But, like its source material, the story will center on a modern day pilot who awakens to find himself in the future.

The “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” comic strip ran from 1929 through 1967. In 1979, NBC adapted Rogers into a prime-time television serial starring Gil Gerard, Erin Grey, and Erin Grey’s camel-toe in a painted-on jumpsuit. The series ran for two years, but Grey provided boys with masturbation fodder up until the emergence of Slave Leia in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

I fondly remember fondling myself at 6-years old while watching the episode where a bunch of sex-starved midgets attempted to strip Grey’s Col. Wilma Deering’s clothes off with their telepathic powers. Despite the fact that my baby-penis could only ejaculate rainbows at the time, I still knew it was a hot scene:

I don’t care if Anderson casts a monkey’s turd to play Buck, but I am totally beside myself in anticipation to see who will play the new Wilma Deering. Or, maybe, Rachel Nichols and her huge breasts (she’s already starring in Paradox’s Conan the Barbarian). Feel free to drop some names.

Anderson’s horror/sci-fi creds include Resident Evil, Death Race, AVP: Alien Vs. Predator, Soldier, Event Horizon, and the upcoming Resident Evil: Afterlife 3-D.

The Hollywood Blvd. Cinema in Chicago, IL hosted a 25th anniversary screening of Robert Zemeckis’ beloved 1985 classic Back to the Future.

The event included a Q&A and meet-and-greet with stars Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown), Lea Thompson (Lorraine McFly), Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker), and James Tolkan (Principal Strickland).

After the screening, the actors all reportedly piled into the prop DoLorean DMC-12 parked outside the theater and attempted to head back to the ’80s to fire their agents—except for Llyod who simply went back to 2008 to buy better fire insurance for his home in Montecito, CA.

“Lost” executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof  want fans to know that the upcoming sixth and final season of the Emmy award-winning show will be gratifying and “cliffhanger-free,” with the focus set firmly on resolving character arcs.

Lindelof tells The Hollywood Reporter:

It really boils down to: Is it satisfying? Have you given the audience an emotional ride that makes them feel they’re satisfied, that’s a good meal? The only question that’s ever mattered to us is what is going to happen to these people. What is the character resolution? That the audience feels like the characters had an arc — a beginning, middle and end. And I’m satisfied with that. All the crazy island mythology stuff, we love it, but it’s like terrorists attacking Jack Bauer — it’s stuff that happens in order to tell cool character stories.

Cuse adds:

Tonally it’s most similar to the first season of the show. We’re employing a different narrative device, which we feel is creating some emotional and heartfelt stories, and we want the audience to have a chance in the final season to remember the entire history of the show. So we have actors coming back like Dominic [Monaghan] and Ian [Sommerhalder]. We’re hoping to achieve a circularity of the entire journey so the ending is reminiscent of the beginning.

On whether there will be any “Lost” projects in the future, Cuse says:

The Walt Disney Co. owns “Lost.” It’s a franchise that’s conservatively worth billions of dollars. It’s hard to imagine “Lost” will rest on the shelves and nothing will ever be made with “Lost.” Eventually somebody will make something under the moniker of “Lost” — whether we do it or not. We just made a commitment to this group of characters whose stories are coming to a conclusion this May.

Lindelof echoes Cuse’s sentiment, stating that:

Sometimes the franchise transcends the storyteller. The definitive edition of “Lost” ends this May on ABC, and that is the story that we have to tell. It has a beginning, middle and end. That ending will not have cliffhangers, or be set up in such a way that people will be saying, “Clearly they’re going to make more of these.” We don’t have any connection to another TV series or movie, but there’s a new “A-Team” movie coming out, for god’s sake. This is a business that thrives on known commodities. “Tron” is the most buzzed-about Disney movie for next year, and it has been gathering dust for 20 years. I cannot imagine there will not be something with “Lost” on it involving smoke monsters and polar bears and time travel.

Personally, I would love to see a spinoff based on the DHARMA Initiative. There is just so much to that part of the “Lost” mythos that needs to be explored.

We’re still a few weeks away from going back to the island, but ABC is tossing us “Lost” fans a couple of lifelines to get us through the wait. Here you see two new promotional posters for the Emmy award-winning show’’s sixth and final season. The cast was shot in a recreation of Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper painting.

ABC has also released an eight-minute-plus recap of seasons 1-thru-5. I’m not sure if the clip is really meant to aid johnny-come-latelies (aka: poseurs) or to simply amuse die-hard fans with its quirky narration. Either way, kudos to the folks who put it together. Check it out:

“Lost” final season kicks off on Feb. 2 with a two-hour episode airing at 9 p.m. A one-hour refresher-clip show will precede the broadcast. And, don’t forget … ABC has moved “Lost” from its previous Wednesday night slot to Tuesdays.

So says the latest one-minute promo for the sixth and final season of ABC’s innovative sci-fi drama “Lost.” As with previous TV spots, new footage is  not revealed in the latest promo. Regardless, the spot will definitely push “Lost” fan’s buttons (get it? push buttons? Ah, never mind).
