Screamfest LA has announced it will be kicking off its 15th annual Horror Film Festival with an opening night screening of the eagerly anticipated anthology Tales of Halloween. The 10-day event begins Oct. 13 and runs through Oct. 22 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theater in Hollywood, California.

Directed by 11 fright masters, Tales of Halloween tells interconnected stories set in a neighborhood terrorized by ghouls, imps, aliens, axe murderers and other evils on All Hallow’s Eve.

Screamfest Founder Rachel Belofsky said:

We’re kicking off the festival with ‘Tales of Halloween,’ a fun anthology to get everyone in the Halloween spirit. This year is extraordinarily special because it’s our 15th year in Hollywood. In celebration, we have some exciting appearances, Q&A’s and premieres that we’ll be announcing with the festival lineup very soon!

Among the directors at the helm of Tales of Halloween are Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III), Neil Marshall (The Descent), Paul Solet (Grace), Lucky McKee (All Cheerleaders Die), Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), and iconic horror author John Skipp.

Screamfest is the biggest and longest-running horror film festival in the U.S. Every year it premieres a variety of features and shorts from around the world. The show is a star-studded event where it’s easy to see actors and directors talking horror with each other and the public. The festival will close with the premiere of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension followed by the Skully Awards.
