CBS is serving up Rebecca Breeds (“Pretty Little Liars”) as FBI agent Clarice Starling in its upcoming new series based on the iconic Silence of the Lambs protagonist made famous by Jodie Foster. Written and executive produced by Alex Kurtzman (The Island) and Jenny Lumet (The Mummy), “Clarice” picks up after the events of Lambs and follows Starling as she hunts down violent criminals.

Will Starling continue to look for charming cannibalistic killer Hannibal Lecter, who is seen on the lam in the Bahamas at the end of Silence of the Lambs, after his daring escape from captivity? Or, will this just be “Criminal Minds: Clarice.” What it won’t be is awesome as what Bryan Fuller had in mind for his regrettably cancelled NBC drama “Hannibal.”

Breeds is best known for her recurring roles on Freeform’s teen mystery soap “Pretty Little Liars” and the CW’s “Vampire Diaries” spinoff “The Originals.”
