Paramount has set a July 16, 2027, theatrical release date for Crawl 2, a sequel to director Alexandre Aja’s 2019 hit about a hot chick trying to rescue her dad from a hurricane in Florida, only to discover he’s trapped in his home by alligators.

Aja is back at the helm working off a script he co-wrote with the writing duo behind Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and Gregory Levasseur, who wrote Mirrors, High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes 2006, and the underrated, white-knuckle thriller P2.

This time out, Emily Rudd (Whalefall) plays a hot chick caught alongside Mason Good (Heart Eyes) in New York following a hurricane that has brought alligators to its streets.
