Sam Rockwell Tells Us Why ‘Poltergeist’ Remake Will Suck Donkey Dicks!

poltergeist-clown

Well it looks like Poltergeist fans can thank Sam Rockwell for saving them a few bucks at the box office this July when producer Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan’s remake of Tobe Hooper’s brilliantly horrifying 1982 original arrives in theaters.

Sam Rockwell is playing the role of the dad in the film about a family tormented by malicious and angry spirits. The part originally played by Craig T. Nelson. In a chat with Collider, Rockwell admits that the remake is nothing more than a kid flick now.

Rockwell said:

The 10-year-old boy is really the protagonist this time.  JoBeth Williams was the protagonist for the most part in the first one and now the kid, it’s really through his point-of-view.  So it’s more of a kids’ movie so I don’t know if it’s gonna be like rated-R scary. It’s not like The Conjuring type of scary.

If that isn’t bad enough, Rockwell doesn’t even appear remotely confident that the remake is any good at all! In fact, he seems worried.

I hope it’s good.  I really don’t know.  I really wish I could tell you.  I’m praying that it’s – I mean, it’s gonna be hard to live up to the first one.  The first one’s pretty damn good.  This one’s gonna be in 3D though, I can tell you that.

So… there you have it from one of the film’s leads: it’s un-scary garabage, but you can watch it in 3D with whatever group of tweens haven’t figured out how to stream movies illegally on their iPhones yet.

scarlett-johansson-black-widow

Disney has released a new trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Joss Whedon is once again at the helm with all key players reprising their roles, including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as HULK, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

Unfortunately, there ain’t a lot of Scarlett Johansson in the trailler, which frustrates us. We’re tired of the angry green guy and rich red guy and the goofy blue guy and the worthless brown archer. Give us more Black Widow!

Synopsis:

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected.

Scarlett Johansson Beats Margot Robbie for ‘Ghost in a Shell’

scarlett-johansson-ghost-shell

Scarlett Johansson has been tapped to star in Rupert Sanders’ (Snow White) adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s manga Ghost in a Shell for DreamWorks. She will play Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg super agent fighting cyber terrorist who hack half-human/half-android beings to do crime.

Margot Robbie, the beautiful and very nude star of Martin Scorsese’s awesome Wolf of Wall Street, was said to be the front runner for the role, but Johansson ain’t chopped liver so penises everywhere will be like “what the… oh okay; that’s cool” when they hear the news.

Johansson is coming off the awesomely fun Luc Besson sci-fi actioner Lucy, Marvel’s blockbuster The Avengers, and Jonathan Glazer’s artsy-fartsy sci-fi drama Under the Skin, listed as number one in Clatto’s list of The Sexiest Horror Films of 2014.

the-walking-dead-5-poster

A trailer has gone online for the Feb. 8 mid-season premiere of season five of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” Season five has been an enthralling, heartbreaking doozey so far, and promises to get more intense as Rick Grimes and the gang continue on the road, knowing there is no actual cure waiting in Washington.

When it comes to a show like “The Walking Dead,” there’s no need to ramble on and on. Hell, most of you have already clicked play on the trailer by now. I could finish this post with my grocery list and you wouldn’t notice: bottle of Chopin, ice, popcorn, Advil.
