I’m Eddie Muertos and this is Clatto Verata, a pop-horror/sci-fi/fantasy blog created to provide up-to-the-minute (well, as up-to-the-minute as my alcohol and internet porn addictions will allow) news, lists, pics, vids, and various fun shit for your viewing pleasure. I jokingly refer to Clatto as “your last resort for all things horror,” but my goal is to make this your first and final destination for the latest in horror entertainment.

I encourage you all to be involved and comment on stories. Clatto is a place where we can discuss all the sick and twisted stuff that gets us off. I won’t judge you … nor call the cops!

About me: I was born and raised in New Orleans. Thankfully, I was standing on a surfboard outside a surf shop when Katrina hit and rode the wave safely to Los Angeles, where I live with my wife, Mrs. Muertos, and our exotic snakes. I play guitar in a GWAR acoustic cover band and once did a brief stint with Los Lobos on tour.

I love all horror genres: slasher, serial killer, supernatural, “torture porn,” J-horror, creature-feature, etc. I’m not a big fan of ’70s “classic” flicks and I believe every old horror movie should be remade.
