Posted above is a photo of Colombian beauty queen Laura Penuela, one of the young pretty stars of Alastair Orr’s found-footage frightener Indigenous: Chupacabra. You’ll want to take a look at Penuela’s pic after viewing the movie’s creepy-as-fuck trailer.
Indigenous: Chupacabra tells the story of five American friends in Panama who foolishly follow a local woman into the jungle to find waterfalls. What they discover instead is one of folklore’s most feared cryptids: the Chupacabra. It premieres at the Midnight section of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
“My Name is Earl” stunner Nadine Velazquez is set to star in Crawlspace, a new supernatural frightener from director Phil Claydon (Vampire Killers) and screenwriter Gary Dauberman (Swamp Devil). Velazquez joins Michael Vartan (“Alias”), Blake Jenner (“Glee”), and Erin Moriarty (“True Detective”).
Crawlspace tells the story of a family tormented by supernatural forces upon moving into a new house. Velazquez plays Vartan’s second wife and Moriarty’s MILFY stepmother.
Velazquez made her horror movie debut in 2005’s House of the Dead 2. She currently stars on TNT’s cop drama “Major Crimes.” She is best known for being the color of pancakes on “My Name is Earl,” playing trophy-wife Sofia on “The League,” and a heartstopping full-frontal nude scene in Flight.
Fox Searchlight has released a trailer for Another Earth director Mike Cahill’s new sci-fi drama I Origins, in theaters July 18. The film stars “Boardwalk Empire’s” Michael Pitt and Pirates of the Caribbean alumna Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (pictured).
I Origins follows a molecular biologist (Pitt) and his lab assistant (Brit Marling) as they uncover “startling evidence that may fundamentally change society as we know it.” From the looks of the smarty-farty trailer, that evidence has nothing to do with giant mutated underground-dwelling cockroaches. Bummer.
All’s not lost though. It’s great to see Astrid Bergès-Frisbey back on the big screen. The French/Spanish stunner first made waves in the U.S. in 2010 when her natural breasts landed her the role of mermaid Syrena in the Disney Pictures’ blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Shannen Doherty is not in Beverly Hills anymore. She can now be found at Blood Lake, attempting to survive the disgusting lampreys out to kill the residents of a small Michigan town. Produced by The Asylum, Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys will premiere May 25 on Animal Planet.
Doherty plays the hot wife of a Fish & Wildlife expert (Jason Brooks) summoned to the town by its mayor (Christopher Lloyd) to warn people that “a casual dip in the pool or routine trip to the toilet can turn deadly as the lampreys hunt for their next victim.”
Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys will premiere as part of Animal Planet’s third annual “Monster Week.” The creature-feature is directed by James Cullen Bressack (13/13/13).

A trailer for HBO’s upcoming rapture drama “The Leftovers” has gone online. Created by Damon Lindelof (“LOST”) and Tom Perrotta, author of the novel the show is based on, the 10-episode series will debut June 15 with a pilot episode directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor).
“The Leftovers” follows the lives of people left behind on earth after the rapture takes place. Season one is set in New York and stars Liv Tyler (The Strangers) as a runaway bride who hooks up with a mysterious cult. Justin Theroux (American Psycho) plays a police chief and father of two trying to carry on.
British porn star Samantha Bentley is set to bring beauty and big boobs to the carnage that plagues the miserable continent of Westeros in season four of the acclaimed fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” premiering tonight on HBO.
No word on what role Bentley will play on the show, but chances are it will involve plenty of gratuitous nudity and, possibly, a gruesome death if boy King Joffrey gets a hold of her.
Bentley is the star of such family classics as London Bitches Falling Down, Fuck Me in My Jeans, Anal Debauchery 3, and the appropriately titled Samantha Bentley is Filthy. In 2013, she was named Best Female Performer by the U.K. Producers Awards, and scored an AVN award for Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene.
IFC Midnight has released a trailer for Marvin Kren’s Blood Glacier, a white-knuckle creature-feature about a group of scientists in the German Alps attempting to survive an attack from wildlife mutated into horrific monsters by a mysterious blood-like liquid leaking from a melting glacier.
Producers say the film “harks back to classic creature-features” and uses “classical filmmaking techniques with imaginative practical effects to produce a rollercoaster ride of laughs and jolts.”
Jolts, yes. But, unless watching people brutally slaughtered by terrifying monsters cracks you up, we don’t anticipate many guffaws… just lots of screams and shrieks, like the poor victims in the film’s creepy, dialogue-free trailer. Look for it theaters and VOD on May 2.
Micro Bay Features has released a trailer for writer and director Brandon Slagle’s House of Manson, a Charles Manson biopic chronicling the charismatic cult leader’s life from childhood to his arrest for the 1969 Tate/LaBianca murders.
Ryan Kiser plays Manson, and not only looks the part, but appears to nail the intensity. We’re also excited about seeing horror queens Suzi Lorraine as doomed actress Sharon Tate, Devanny Pinn as Manson girl Susan Atkins, and Erin Marie Hogan (pictured) as Linda Kasabian, key witness for the prosecution.
Phase 4 Films has released a trailer for Night of the Demons director Adam Gierasch’s Fractured (previously titled Schism). A horror-noir, the film centers on a Baton Rouge chef haunted by visions of his violent and evil past.
The film had its world premiere at Screamfest LA last year, where those of us lucky enough to attend caught a glorious, gore-free, full-frontal nude scene from Human Centipede star Ashlynn Yennie. The gorgeous stunner plays the chef’s supportive girlfriend.
Fractured arrives in selected theaters, VOD, and DVD on April 11.
Japanese looker Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) is set to co-star in director Zach Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer’s Batman Vs. Superman, the followup to the duo’s 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill as the son of Jor-El and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
Cavill and Adams reprise their roles in the new film, and are joined by Ben Affleck as the Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Gal Gadot as a flat-chested Wonder Woman. No word on what role Okamoto plays.
Okamoto is a Ralph Lauren model-turned-actress who made her acting debut as Mariko Yashida in last year’s The Wolverine… and, well, that’s all I got.
