London fans of the bloodsucker-drama “The Vampire Diaries” flocked yesterday to retailer HMV’s meet-and-greet with the show’s stars Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and the other guy who isn’t Ian Somerhalder.

The gracious actors signed autographs for over two-and-half hours before returning to their London hotel, where they were met with more die-hard fans.

"Hey, Ian, who is that other guy?"

"Hey, Ian, who is that other guy?"

“The Vampire Diaries” is writer-producer Kevin Williamson’s (Scream, “Dawson’s Creek”) adaptation of L.J. Smith’s popular novel series of the same name for the CW television network. The show follows high-schooler Elena Gilbert (Dobrev) as she’s courted by two vampire brothers.

The show won a People’s Choice award for Favorite New TV Drama earlier this year.

eva-green-nude

Hot on the sandals of their widely successful “Spartacus: Blood & Sand” series, the Starz network is looking to strike gold again with their original King Arthur series “Camelot.”

Bond-girl Eva Green and recently unemployed “Flash Forward” lead Joseph Fiennes have signed on to headline the series as sorceress Morgana and the wizard Merlin, respectively. The show’s storylines will reportedly be told from their perspectives.

The series also stars Jamie Campbell Bower as King Arthur and sexy fledgling actress Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere.

“Camelot” is slated for release early next year and will have a ten episode first season. Production on the show begins later this month in Ireland.

Jennifer-Lawrence

Like that herpes sore on your lip, Jennifer Lawrence’s career is blowing up. The 19-year-old actress has been garnering rave reviews since Sundance for her performance in the award-winning indie-drama Winter’s Bone.

Lawrence is now set to headline A Bigger Boat’s new frightener House at the End of the Street with costar Max Thieroit (My Soul to Take).

Directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush), the film’s story revolves around a teen girl (Lawrence) who discovers that the house across from her new home was the scene of a double murder. Things complicate further when she befriends the murdered family’s surviving son (Thieriot).

Production on the film begins in July in Ottawa.

But, in the meantime, you can stroke your own winter’s bone (yea, I went there) to Lawrence in the following Esquire video:

Delphine

The Los Angeles premiere for Warner Bros. new provocative sci-fi frightener Splice was held last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

Other celebs on hand included Robert Downey Jr., “True Blood’s” Mehcad Brooks, producer Joel Silver, skateboarder Tony Hawk, and Kenny G. (who looks like Brody in a bad wig).

Christina_Boobs

The Broken Bells have released a music video for their song “The Ghost Inside,” starring “Mad Men’s” Christina Hendricks.

The sci-fi themed video follows a busty android (Hendricks) looking to retire at an intergalactic resort community after having spent years doing android-ey things.

Take a look:

Hmm. I like the concept. And, the production looks very cool. However, there are a couple of changes that I feel would benefit the video tremendously, namely replacing that gay-ass song with something by Slayer or Rob Zombie and putting Hendricks’ giant breasts in a tiny sling-bikini.

Personally, I don’t understand why the Broken Bells would keep Hendrick’s rack under wraps? This would never happen in a Motley Crue video. Fuck the Bells!

Sir Ben Kingsley Clowns Heidi Montag!

41112PCN_Montag

Sir Ben Kingsley took a moment out of promoting Prince of Persia and his other knightly duties to clown big-titty, wannabe-actress Heidi Montag on Funny Or Die.

The bit, a parody of Montag’s unsolicited Transformers 3 audition video, features Kingsley nervously addressing Michael Bay as he too pleads for a role in the highly-anticipated sequel while juggling a gun and, of course, a cup of tea.

Kiefer Sutherland in Talks to ‘Growl’ with Katee Sackhoff!

kiefer

Kiefer Sutherland is in talks to join his “24” costar Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”) in director Sxv’leithan Essex’s (pronounced: douche-bag) feature film debut Growl.

The film revolves around a group of underground brawlers who meet their match when they encounter a family of werewolves while traveling through a ghost town in the Colorado Rockies.

Essex explains to ShockTillYouDrop:

It’s Fight Club versus werewolves. Two of my favorite things thrown in the ring to see what will come out alive.

But what I love most about it is its completely character driven. I started writing and wanting to direct after seeing Aliens in theaters and how James Cameron made you care about the characters who would eventually be in peril.

I love the characters in Growl like they are my family and it sucks to have to kill some of them off. But they do die some glorious deaths.

Growl is currently shooting in Los Angeles. The film costars Jennifer Lee Wiggins (Bled), Josh Kelly (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Paul Bean, and Mark Sherman.

Sutherland, meanwhile, is wrapping up director Lars Von Trier’s (Antichrist) end-of-the-world sci-fi thriller Melancholia with costar Kirsten Dunst.

The 43-year-old actor’s notable genre creds include Alex Proyas’ surreal sci-fi-thriller Dark City, Alexandre Aja’s Mirrors, D.J. Caruso’s Taking Lives, the 1993 remake of The Vanishing, and, of course, Joel Schumacher’s 1987 vampire classic The Lost Boys.

Sutherland also turns in a memorably deranged performance in Mathew Bright’s twisted Little Red Riding Hood re-imagining entitled Freeway (a must-see).

So to answer many of your questions in one fell swoop, yes! The gorgeous and talented Sienna Guillory is back as Jill Valentine in RE4!!!

Other creds include New Line Cinema’s fantasy-adventure Inkheart, 20th Century Fox’s dragon-thriller Eragon, indie-frightener Superstitious, and Warner Bros’ adaptation of H.G. Wells’ ‘The Time Machine.

Prepare to Ogle Newbie Olga Fonda in DreamWorks’ ‘Real Steel’

Olga_Fonda2

TV actress Olga Fonda (“Entourage,” “Nip/Tuck”) has been cast in DreamWorks’ upcoming sci-fi-actioner (and terribly named) Real Steel. She joins a cast that include Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lily, Anthony Mackie, Hope Davis, James Rebhorn, and Kevin Durand.

Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as a former boxer-turned-fight-promoter who reunites with his estranged 11-year-old son to build a robot to compete in a robot-boxing tournament. The film is set in the future where human boxing matches are no longer legal and have been replaced by combating machines.

No word on what role Fonda plays, but the film is one of two high-profile projects for the sexy upstart (Little Fockers is the other).

Real Steel is directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum). It swings into theaters on Nov. 18, 2011.
