British bombshell Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) has been tapped to star in Twilight of the Dead, the seventh and final installment in late horror master George A. Romero’s zombie series, spawned by the 1968 masterpiece Night of the Living Dead, which also includes the beloved sequels Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.

Twilight of the Dead is based on a treatment Romero and his team were working on before his passing in 2017. “Walking Dead’s” Greg Nicotero, who cut his FX teeth on Romero’s Day of the Dead, will handle the film’s effects and makeup.

The story follows a hot MILF and her kid living on an island as the world’s only human survivors. Beckinsale replaces Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil), originally cast as the hot MILF.
