B-movie queen Tara Reid shows off her publicly maligned melons in the upcoming Jan/Feb issue of Playboy magazine. The 33-year-old actress appears topless in a six-page spread aimed at silencing her detractors. To see a leaked photo from the shoot, go here.
She tells Entertainment Tonight:
A part of the reason I did Playboy was because there’s been so much controversy with my body. I wanted to show everyone, ‘Okay, look at it — this is what it looks like. Leave me alone now.’ And I’m really happy with it.
Reid’s breasts became popular tabloid fodder after a 2004 red carpet boob-slip at a P. Diddy party revealed her botched up boob job to the media.
I'm sure P. Diddy still hit it.
When I went down [Diddy's] carpet and the dress fell, I just had my first surgery so I didn’t even feel it … It was a botched surgery so I really wouldn’t want anyone to see that. Then I got a better one and I got healed and I’m good now. But no one wants to say that I’m healed or good. They always want to show that bad picture from 10 years ago.
Reid underwent reconstructive surgery in 2006 to repair the damage done to her breasts and to remove the scars left on her stomach after a similarly bungled liposuction procedure. Unfortunately, her vagina was left perfectly intact during those old surgeries and will, therefore, not be displayed in the pictorial.
Reid is ironically best known for her role as the virginal Vicky Lathum in the 1999 comedy American Pie. However, in recent years, she has starred in a string of direct-to-video horror flicks, including Vipers, Incubus, Alone in the Dark, Devil’s Pond, and The Crow: Wicked Prayer.
Graphic novelist Frank Miller (300, Sin City) is currently at work on a prequel to the 2007 swords-&-sandals epic 300. Entitled Xerxes, the story is set ten years prior to the Battle of Thermopylae.
Miller tells the LA Times:
It’s the Battle of Marathon through my lens. I’ve finished the plot and I’m getting started on the artwork.
Xerxes succeeded his father Darius the Great as ruler of the Persian Empire in 486 BC, four years after the defeat at Marathon. He was portrayed by Rodrigo Santoro (”Lost”) in the film 300. It’s my guess that Miller’s prequel will follow Xerxes’ journey to the throne.
300 director Zach Snyder has already expressed interest in directing the project, though nothing is official as of yet. 300 has grossed over $450 million worldwide.
Looks like director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Momento) will mess with our heads again with his upcoming mind-control thriller Inception. The impressive cast is led by Leonardo DiCaprio and includes Ellen Page, Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, and Michael Cain.
DiCaprio plays a business man involved in a process that allows him access into people’s minds and dreams. Things get complicated, however, when a rival (Watanabe) begins to blackmail him. The film opens in theaters on July 16, 2010.
The Daybreakers will soon be upon us and, judging from the clip Spike TV scored, things are gonna get bloody. Check it out:
Looks like what happens every Monday morning at my local Starbucks.
The Daybreakers is directed by Peter and Michael Spierig and stars Ethan Hawke (Gattica), Willem Dafoe,(Anti-Christ) Sam Neil (Jurassic Park), and Isabel Lucas (Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen). The film will be in theaters on Jan. 8.
Few films hold as much promise as director Rick Jacobson’s hot-girl actioner Bitch Slap, starring Playboy’s America Olivo, Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, Zoe Bell, and Lucy Lawless. Just take a look at this boner-inducing cat-fight:
