Fox Searchlight Pictures has released a trailer for Oldboy director Park Chan-wook’s eagerly anticipated English-language film debut Stoker. The psychological thriller stars Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman as Evelyn, a mother who tells her daughter:

I’ve often wondered why it is we have children, and the conclusion I’ve come to is we want someone to get it right this time. But not me. Personally speaking, I can’t wait to watch life to tear you apart.”

Mia Wasikowska plays India, the lucky daughter—a lonely and awkward teen—and Matthew Goode is the uncle that moves into the family’s home after the death of their patriarch and starts to bang Evelyn while plotting some dastardly things with India, who has become infatuated with the charming sociopath.
