Ever wonder what Paranormal Activity would have looked like with a less chunky actress in the lead role? If so, you’re gonna want to check out Dark Castle Entertainment’s take on the haunted couple hook in their upcoming supernatural frightener The Apparition, starring a very fit, lingerie-clad Ashley Greene (pictured here in the film’s first two publicity stills).

Directed by Todd Lincoln, The Apparition stars Greene and Sebastian Stan (Black Swan) as a young couple haunted by an evil specter released during an ill-fated parapsychology experiment conducted at their university. Tom Felton (Harry Potter) and Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th) respectively costar as an expert in the supernatural and as a hot chick with enormous breasts.

I gotta say the marketing peeps behind The Apparition really know how to sell a flick. Seeing photos of a scared skinny chick in her underwear really brings the horror alive. I mean, what if bad things really did happen to beautiful people? I’m like so freak out right now.

The Apparition arrives in theaters on August 20, 2011. Warner Bros. is distributing.
