Actress Sara Paxton (The Innkeepers) is set to star opposite Sarah Shahi (”The L-Word”) and Milo Ventimiglia (”Heroes”) in upstart banner New Artists Alliance’s Static. The supernatural thriller marks music video director (I couldn’t find any creds) Todd Levin’s feature film debut.
Static centers on a bereaved couple (Shahi, Ventimiglia) teetering on divorce after the death of their child. The arrival of a mysterious young visitor soon changes their outlook, but at an unearthly cost. Budgeted at $1 million, the supernatural thriller will be shot in 3-D utilizing two Sony PMW-F3 cameras.
Paxton broke into horror in Rogue Pictures’ 2009 update of Wes Craven’s controversial classic The Last House on the Left. The pretty 22-year-old blonde played the role of Mari Collingwood, the good-natured coed abducted, tormented, and raped by psycho-killer Krug Stillo and his family of degenerates.
She can next be seen in Ti West’s haunted hotel spookshow The Innkeepers and David R. Ellis’ creature-feature Shark Night 3-D. Paxton can also be found on Clatto’s 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-Fi Now.
