MGM is producing a series for the Lifetime network centered on “Silence of the Lambs” protagonist Clarice Starling. “Clarice” will follow Starling’s life and career immediately after her graduation from the FBI academy.
The show will also find Starling attempting to find love in the big city while fighting off carbs and not losing sight of her biological clock. I kid! Chances are the program will focus on Starling solving crimes and her troubled upbringing, first explored in the Thomas Harris books.
It’s too early to know who will play the role of Clarice Starling, but considering the part won Jodie Foster an Academy Award, agent phones must already be lighting up. Coincidentally (or not), NBC is currently cooking up an hour-long crime drama set around the early days of Hannibal Lecter.
