Noomi Rapace Has Itsy Bitsy Problem in ‘Rupture’

Noomi-Rapace-Rupture

Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) is bugging out in the upcoming body-horror tale from director Steven Shainberg (Secretary) and screenwriter Brian Nelson (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night). The Swedish stunner plays an abducted MILF with a crippling fear of spiders, who believes she’s undergoing a horrifying change.

The story follows Renee Morgan (Rapace), a single-mom and arachnophobe living with her 12-year-old son in a suburban residence under surveillance by her would-be captors. Once taken, she’s questioned about her medical history and phobias and is warned of a genetic abnormality that could rupture her body, revealing her alien persona.

Rapace breakthrough role came as Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish film adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s The Millennium Trilogy (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Girl Who Played with Fire, Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest). She’s since starred in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Brian de Palma’s lesbian thriller Passion, and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and upcoming Alien: Covenant.
