Horror streaming service Shudder has set a Sept. 26 premiere date for its new original anthology series “Creepshow.” Based on the beloved 1982 movie collaboration between writer Stephen King and director George A. Romero, the show hails from producer/director/makeup guru Greg Nicotero (“Walking Dead”).

“Creepshow” will feature a variety of stories written by horror’s top scribes and helmed by the genre’s best. Starring in the first season will be Tobin Bell (SAW), Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), DJ Qualls (Road Trip), David Arquette (Scream), and stunner Tricia Helfer (pictured).
