Monica Raymund (“Chicago Fire”) has been tapped to star alongside Jay Hernandez (Hostel) and Raymond Cruz (“Breaking Bad”) in Warner Bros.’ Revenge of La Llorona, the long-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit The Curse of La Llorona.

Directed by Santiago Menghini (No One Gets Out Alive) from a script by Sean Tretta (“Mayans M.C.”), the follow-up finds La Llorona tormenting a hot mom (Raymund) and her troubled family who must reach out to their estranged grandfather—Cruz reprising his curandero role—to kick her culo.

Raymund is best known for her role as firehouse paramedic Gabriela Dawson across NBC dramas “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” and “Chicago Med.” Revenge of La Llorona marks her major movie debut.
