Danielle Harris Will Make You ‘Shiver’

DH

Danielle Harris announced at this year’s Comic-Con that she would be starring in director Julian Richards’ adaptation of author Brian Harper’s 1992 serial killer novel Shiver. The 33-year-old brunette stunner describes the film as terrifying and her role in it as her “most challenging” (let’s hope challenging is code for frivolous nudity).

Shiver tells the story of a Los Angeles detective on the hunt for a ruthless killer who keeps his victims’ heads as souvenirs. Costarring with Harris are Luke Goss and John Jarrat, who played sadistic murderer Mick Taylor in Greg McLean’s 2005 outback frightener Wolf Creek (I’m guessing he’s cast as the head-collector).

Harris, who admits to having a fascination with serial killers, got her start in horror at the age of 11 opposite one of the genre’s most iconic figures in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. She would return to the franchise as an entirely different character in Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake and its sequel Halloween 2.

Harris’ additional horror creds include the upcoming Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3-D, Adam Green’s Hatchet 2, The Black Waters of Echo Pond, Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, Left for Dead, and the original Urban Legend.

According to TV Guide, the show will reveal Diana to be the mother of series alien queen Anna (Morena Baccarin).

I_Spit_On-Your_Grave_Poster

Anchor Bay have released a full-length theatrical trailer for its unrated remake of Meir Zarchi’s controversial 1978 revenge-thriller I Spit On Your Grave. Directed by Steven R. Monroe, the film stars newcomer Sarah Butler in the role of novelist Jennifer Hill (originally played by Camille Keaton), a gang-rape victim out to do terrible things to the penises of her assailants.

I don’t know about you, but when this flick gets to Jennifer’s “unmerciful” and “unapologetic” acts of retribution, my balls and I are heading over to the auditorium next door to see Secretariat, a heartwarming tale about a horse, his nuts, and the will to run very fast.

Cuban Hottie Ana De Armas is Up Your Alley in Spanish Slasher ‘Callejon’

Ana_Armas

Spanish screenwriter Antonio Trashorras has tapped 22-year-old Cuban actress Ana de Armas ( for his upcoming directorial debut Callejon (gringo translation: Alley).

Armas will play a woman trapped in a laundromat by a serial killer. The Spanish-language frightener is the latest in a new string of low-budget horror films set in a confined space, i.e. Rodrigo Cortes’ Buried (coffin), Adam Green’s Frozen (ski-lift), newcomer David Brooks’ ATM (uh … an ATM machine), and the M. Night Shyamalan produced Devil (elevator).

Armas creds include the 2006 Spanish fantasy sci-fi drama Madrigal and the internationally popular mystery television series “El Internado (The Boarding School).”

Trashorras recently scripted director Eugeno Mira’s psychological-thriller Agnosia. He also cowrote Guillermo Del Toro’s 2001 ghost story The Devil’s Backbone.

Callejon is slated for release in 2011. The title is reportedly tentative and will most likely change before its release.

Kristy Swanson’s Rent is Due, Chums Up to Syfy’s ‘Swamp Shark’

kristyswanson

If you’re parents, teachers, or gut ever told you that you weren’t living up to your potential, you’ll feel better after tuning into actress Kristy Swanson’s latest rent-check Swamp Shark. Still hot at 40, Swanson was once poised for Hollywood domination after nabbing the lead role of Buffy Summers in the original 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, penned by geek-messiah Joss Whedon.

Unfortunately, Buffy tanked and Swanson was replaced by Sara Michelle Gellar in Whedon’s successful television reboot of the film. Long-story-short, Swanson has since embraced the straight-to-DVD market and often headlines made-for-TV flicks such as Syfy’s Swamp Shark.

Swanson faced-off against a Louisiana “swamp shark” once before in the TBS original Bull shark frightener Red Water, costarring Lou Diamond Philips and rap-legend Coolio. The movie went on to become a ratings smash for the network.

Swamp Shark costars Robert Davi (Predator 2), D.B. Sweeney (“Jericho”), Natacha Itzel (“The Dunwich Horror”), and pretty newcomer Ashton Leigh.

Rob Zombie’s ‘House of a 1000 Corpses’ Gets 3D Maze at Halloween Horror Nights 2010!

rz

Universal Studios Hollywood will open the doors to Rob Zombie’s “House of a 1000 Corpses” at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, running Sept. 24th-thru-Oct. 31st. Though the theme park has yet to officially announce any of attractions scheduled for the annual event, Zombie has already spilled the beans on the 3-D maze inspired by his 2003 feature film directorial debut.

He tells NoiseCreep:

Universal is doing it in 3D, so you’ll wear glasses as you go through,” Zombie said. “And they’re doing full makeups on everybody in the house and all of the characters from the movie. It’s gonna be pretty amazing.

When you think about it, it’s pretty cool and ironic since that’s the studio that originally made the movie, but never released it. And now we’re back in the park doing this attraction. But it’s great and they’re putting a lot of work into it, so it’s going to be really awesome.

Universal Studios Hollywood and Zombie are also sponsoring the “Halloween Horror Nights – Rob Zombie Film Competition.” The winner of the contest will have their short-film premiered on Chiller TV, collect a $1000, and receive a trip for two to the opening night of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood (click here for more info).

Halloween Horror Nights are always a blast. To read about last year’s event, go here.

Kelly Brook Unveils Her Nude Reebok Billboard & Camel Toe in London!

KB_Billboard8

British model/actress Kelly Brook unveiled her nude billboard for Reebok EasyTone trainers this morning outside Battersea Power Station in South London. The giant ad is meant to trick women into believing that wearing the shoes will magically shape their droopy bottoms into something that resembles Brook’s altar of ass (You still gotta walk, ladies).

Brook told the U.K.’s DailyMail:

I’m so excited to finally have my own billboard, it was really fun creating the shot and Reebok EasyTones definitely got my bum ready for the occasion!

It’s a bit scary having yourself up on a billboard but I suppose I’ve got to get used to it because I just did a shoot for Playboy. It seems this month is my naked month!

August really is proving to be Brook’s naked month. The busty 30-year-old stunner can be seen making out nude underwater with porn star Riley Steele in Dimension Films upcoming fish-&-chicks frightener Piranha 3-D (Aug. 20).

Halle Berry & Her Breasts Swim w/ Sharks in ‘Dark Tide’

43125PCN_HalleDarkTide

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry’s career may have figuratively jumped the shark after her performance in the 2004 stinker Catwoman, but that’s not keeping the 43-year-old stunner from diving with real South African Great Whites for her upcoming frightener Dark Tide.

Berry plays a diving instructor who returns to the island waters where she narrowly survived a great white shark attack. The film is currently being shot in South Africa off the coast of Seal Island in False Bay, home to over 64,000 seals and the sharks who love them.

Dark Tide is directed by John Stockwell (Turistas) and written by professional shark diver/journalist Amy Sorlie. Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are bankrolling the estimated $15-to-$20 million feature, which is slated for release next year.

Tonight marks the return of VH1’s horror-inspired reality show “Scream Queens.” Hosted by actress Jaime King (My Bloody Valentine 3-D), acting coach John Homa, and genre director Tim Sullivan (2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams), the show once again pits 10 wannabe starlets against each other in a variety of frightening challenges designed to serve as auditions for  a speaking role in Lionsgate’s upcoming Saw 3-D.

Get psyched with the following BTS clip:

“Scream Queens” debuted in October of 2008 and was originally hosted by Homa, director James Gunn (Slither), and Saw’s Shawnee Smith. Acting novice Tanedra Howard dominated the season and went on to win a memorably gruesome part in last year’s criminally overlooked Saw 6.

Catch “Scream Queens 2” tonight at 10 p.m. on VH1 (or check your local listings for additional times).
