Australian up-and-comer Phoebe Tonkin is set to work her magic on writer/producer Kevin Williamson’s new witch-themed show “Secret Circle.” The 21-year-old shelia joins a cast that includes Brittany Robertson (”Life Unexpected”) and Thomas Dekker (Nightmare On Elm Street).
Based on the book series from “Vampire Diaries” author L.J. Smith, the show stars Robertson as a California teen named Cassie who discovers she’s a witch while living with her mother in New Salem. Tonkin will play Faye, a member of Cassie’s coven.
Williamson, the creative force behind the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer films and the TV series “Dawson’s Creek” and “The Vampire Diaries,” is penning the pilot for The CW and will serve as executive producer. Cameras are set to roll this month in Vancouver.
