Son-of-a-Bitch: ‘LOST’ Auction Nets $1.8 Million, Thrills Fans w/ Exhibit!

Walt_Comic

ABC Studios and auction house Profiles in History netted over $1.8 million at this weekend’s “Lost: The Official Show Auction and Exhibit,” held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA. Fans of the Emmy-winning show bid on such iconic items as John Locke’s wheelchair ($3,250), Hurley’s Lotto Ticket ($5,500), Faraday’s Journal ($27,500), and a Dharma Initiative VW Van ($47,500).

Mrs. Muertos and I, along with our good friend Girard from Hills of Woodland, pooled our money together in the hopes of purchasing Jack’s beard, but were sadden to find it was one of the very few items not available for sale. But, hey, we probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it anyway. Despite the event’s “everyone can own a piece of the show” PR spin, the majority of props, costumes, and set pieces went for well over two grand.

Roger_Dharma_Van

Fortunately, there was still plenty to do for broke-ass “LOST” fans. The exhibit part of the event included displays of the items up for auction, screenings of BTS footage from the show’s upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release, and photo ops on “LOST” inspired sets built to resemble Oceanic Airlines, the Hatch, Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack, and the Temple.

Activities included a “LOST” costume contest—which drew three Kates, one La Fleur, a Dharma polar bear, a bikini-clad Other, and an overweight Russo—and a pre-auction raffle which gave away “LOST” season six DVDs and Blu-rays, T-shirts, bobble-heads, and advanced copies of DK’s “LOST” Encyclopedia (a must-have). Forty-two lucky attendees also won a chance to catch a preview of the 12-minute epilogue “New Man in Charge.”

Disappointingly, neither the show’s creators nor its cast attended the event. Well, that’s not entirely accurate. Daniel Roebuck (Dr. Leslie Artz) and Sterling Beaumon (Young Ben Linus) were on hand to sign autographs, but that’s not exactly Evangeline Lilly (Kate Austin) or Josh Holloway (James “Sawyer” Ford). Hell, it’s not even Vincent.

Jughead

As for the rest of the auction, notable sales included Sawyer’s Letter to the Man Who Murdered His Parents ($6,500), Charlie’s Drive Shaft ring ($9,000), the Swan Station Hatch Door ($16,000), Hurley’s Camaro ($24,000), Walt’s Spanish Green Lantern Comic ($1,400), Locke’s Suicide Note to Jack ($9,000), Mr. Eko’s Staff ($8000), Sun’s Blue Bikini ($1,200), and the time-shifting Donkey Wheel ($22,500).

To see what everything else went for, check out the two-day list in PDF form here and here.

“LOST” is nominated this year for 12 Emmys, including nods for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for lead Matthew Fox (Jack Shepard), and Outstanding Supporting Actor for both Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus) and Terry o’Quinn (John Locke).

Fresh Meat: Newcomer Emily Montague Joins ‘Fright Night’

emily_montague

Hollywood newcomer Emily Montague is set to do a little necking with Colin Farrell in DreamWork’s upcoming remake of the classic 1985 bloodsucker-comedy Fright Night. The 25-year-old starlet will play victim to Farrell’s lady-killer vamp Jerry Dandridge.

Originally directed by Tom Holland (Child’s Play), Fright Night centers on horror fan Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin) as he attempts to convince folks that Dandridge, his new neighbor, is a vampire.

The remake, directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) and penned by Marti Noxon (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), is now set in Las Vegas.

Costars include Imogen Poots as Charley’s girlfriend Amy, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as “Evil” Ed Thompson, Toni Collete as Charley’s mom, David Tennant as vampire-killer/Vegas magician Peter Vincent, and Sandra Vergara (Sophia’s sister) as Vincent’s insanely hot assistant.

Fright Night is currently shooting in New Mexico and is slated for release on Oct. 7, 2011.

The original Fright Night made Clatto’s list of 15 Vampire Movies That Won’t Make You Gay.

The Weinstein Company held the premiere to director Alexandre Aja’s fish-&-chicks frightener Piranha 3-D last night at the Mann’s Chinese 6 Theater in Hollywood, CA. The shindig reeled in sexy headliners Kelly Brook, Elisabeth Shue, Jessica Szohr, and moonlighting porn star Riley Steele.

While the usually cute Shue opted for an frumpy, unflattering blue number, her younger costars rocked the red carpet in formfitting outfits that showed off lots of leg, cleavage, and go-get’em attitude (Tim Gunn has got nothing on this fashionista … SNAP!).

Kelly_Brook_Glasses2

The actresses were joined at the premiere by director Aja, producer Bob Weinstein, and vagina-less costars Adam Scott, Steven R. McQueen, Paul Sheer, Brian Kubach, and Jerry O’Connell, who showed up with Rebecca Romijn in tow. “Girl Next Door” Bridget Marquardt and British model Natalie Loren were also on hand.

Piranha 3-D centers on a spring break town terrorized by schools of prehistoric piranha set free by an underwater earthquake. Aja describes the film as a technically updated throwback to to the sensationalistic 3-D films many of us grew up with, promising a gratuitous amount of blood and boobs.

The film costars Ving Rhames (Day of the Dead), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Richard Dreyfus (Jaws), Dina Meyer (Saw IV), and a bevy of SAG-card-seeking nude babes. To see nine hardcore minutes of footage, go here.

Piranha 3-D opens Friday, Aug. 20.

Tutu Hot! Natalie Portman Kisses Mila Kunis in ‘Black Swan’ Trailer!

Portman_Kunis

Gentlemen looking to butter their popcorn while watching Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, and Kristina Anapau in acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky’s (The Fountain) new supernatural thriller Black Swan are encouraged to employ an elegant pinky-out stroke while doing so. Judging by the film’s trailer, this is going to be a classy affair.

Take a gander, but don’t stare.  It’s rude:

Black Swan stars Portman, Kunis, Anapau, and Winona Ryder as dancers competing to land a role in their company’s production of “Swan Lake.” The film has generated a lot of buzz thanks in part to a reportedly graphic sex scene between Portman and Kunis.

Costars include Sebastian Stan (The Apparition), Barbara Hershey (Riding the Bullet) as Nina’s mother, and Vincent Cassel (The Cross) as the ballet’s director Yevna.

Black Swan will open the Venice International Film Festival on Sept 1.

A red-band trailer for director Adam Gierasch’s long-delayed Night of the Demons remake has hit the web. Despite starring  gorgeous up-and-comer Diora Baird and her stunningly naked 32-DD’s, the film is slated for DVD and Blu-ray release on Oct. 19.

Take a sneak peek:

Night of the Demons is a remake of the 1988 cult classic starring beloved scream-queen Linnea Quigley (yes, she has a cameo in the new film). The film, now set in New Orleans, follows a sexy group of girlfriends as they fight off demons at a Halloween celebration.

Along with Baird, the stroke-worthy cast includes Shannon Elizabeth (Thirteen Ghosts), Monica Keena (Freddy VS. Jason), Bobbi Sue Luther (Laid to Rest), Tiffany Shepis (Stripped), and Holly Ladnier (Jonah Hex). The film is Gierasch’s followup to his chilling 2008 debut Autopsy, starring Jessica Lowndes.

Baird’s horror creds include the upcoming Ghost House Pictures release 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, the horror-comedy Stan Helsing, and Jonathan Liebesman’s 2006 prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

Night of the Demons vagina-less stars include Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), Jonathan Beach (“Fear Clinic”)), Michael Copon (Scorpion King: Rise of a Warrior), and Eric F. Adams (Autopsy).

tila-tequila2

Tabloid star Tila Tequila was showered with rocks, bottles, and human excrement this weekend while performing topless at the 11th annual Gathering of the Juggalos four-day concert event held at Cave-in-Rock, Illinois. Tequila, who launched her career on the strength of her bolt-ons and the white man’s ongoing fetishization of Asian women, was understandably shocked by the audience reaction.

She tells E!:

Everyone started booing and I was like, ‘Alright, this is a violent and tough crowd,’ so I went out there just to try and have fun…But immediately before I got up there, things were being thrown, there was so much stuff being thrown, besides just beer bottles. I looked down and saw human poop.

These weren’t fans or people that are like, ‘Let’s embarrass her and boo her off stage,’ but looking at these people, or monsters, whatever they are, they looked very angry and violent.

Tequila’s ordeal at the mostly horror-core concert event was met with ridicule and dismissive commentary by both the public and the media. In fact, most people seem to believe that the 28-year-old former reality-show star is either exaggerating the details of what happened or—simply put—deserved to be pelted with wolf bait.

Personally, I’m deeply disturbed that a group of fat, asthmatic guys who refer to themselves as Juggalos would throw shit at a woman willing to show them her breasts. Seriously, WTF? Used to be you hit a woman if she didn’t show you her tits. My, how times have changed.

Anyway, for those of us who can still appreciate a nude woman, the folks at Egotastic scored some shots of Tequila in all her topless glory:

Curry_Slave_Costume

A drunk man attending the fifth annual Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida this weekend discovered that Adrianne Curry’s vagina was not the one he was looking for when the 27-year-old fashion model and Cos-play enthusiast had him arrested for attempting to finger her Sarlacc Pit without consent or modeling job offer.

According to Curry, the tipsy assailant reached underneath her Slave Leia robes to molest her with his keys in hand, leaving her vaginal area with cuts and bruises. Curry’s entourage quickly subdued the drunk by cracking his head against the pavement five times while Curry spat on him and called the cops.

Curry tweeted:

waiting4an hour &a half 4 cops 2 show up at orlando4 a drunk man who reached up my skirt&molested me..then tried2drive drunk away.thanks …
– cops are here..molesting pervert drunk in the back of their car.

FYI, I not only elbowed the guy in the face, I spit on him , screamed, and my friends cracked his head on the pavement more than 5 times

I am ok, have some bruising downstairs and a cut, cause i think he had his keys in his hand when he did it…but I am ok.

Man, oh, man. Curry’s hubby Peter Brady isn’t going to be happy about having his prized Podracer keyed. But, really, I’m sure the randy drunk didn’t mean to stab Curry’s twat with his house keys. Those Wookie costumes don’t have any pockets.

So, if we can learn something from this ugly incident, it is most likely that, when trying to get frisky at a Star Wars convention, we should always wear a costume with enough pockets to hold our keys, roofies, and duct tape. Something like an X-Wing Pilot’s outfit, or maybe Boba Fett (I think he’s sports cargo pants, right?).

Rooney Mara Inks Deal to Play ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’

Rooney-Mara-Topless-Girl-Dragon-Tattoo-Posters

A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Rooney Mara has landed Hollywood’s latest dream gig. The 25-year-old actress has been cast to play emotionally-disturbed hacker-punk Lisbeth Salander in Columbia Pictures’ upcoming adaptation of late Swedish author Stieg Larsson’s bestselling novel “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” The film, directed by David Fincher, costars Daniel Craig in the role of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and begins to shoot next month in Sweden.

Columbia Pictures will also adapt Larsson’s “The Girl Who Played with Fire” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.” Collectively known as the Millennium Trilogy, the novels have sold over 40 million copies worldwide. No word yet on whether Fincher will direct the sequels. Mara and Craig, however, do have options in their contracts to reprise their roles.

Mara reportedly beat out Sophie Lowe (The Clinic), Sarah Snook (Sleeping Beauty), French actress Lea Seydoux (Inglourious Basterds), and Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) for the part. Her recent collaboration with Fincher on his upcoming Facebook flick The Social Network is believed to have given her the edge over the others.

Larrson, a journalist and political activist, died of a heart attack at the age 50 in 2004, just before his Millennium books were published (ain’t that a bitch). According to his longtime live-in girlfriend Eva Gabrielsson, Larrson left behind pages to his an unfinished fourth book in the series.

If you think reading is for nerds and can’t wait to see Fincher’s film, you can catch the Swedish film adaptations of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire now. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest is slated for limited theatrical release in October.

Laura_Surrich_Black

Aspiring actress Laura Surrich first caught our interest this year as an uncredited slave girl in Starz’s scandalous new swords-and-sandals series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.” Much like Tom Hanks in Cast Away, she held the screen without ever speaking a word of dialogue, relying instead on the universal language of naked boobies to capture her character’s aura.

This month, Surrich returns to our TV screens in writer/director Jason Stutter’s direct-to-DVD horror comedy Diagnosis: Death. The film follows terminally ill English teacher Andre Chang (Raybon Kan) as he subjects himself to experiments in a drug-testing facility previously used as an asylum.

Surrich plays a sexy, morally-challenged one-night stand named Tawny. The part is a speaking role and, yes, includes a sex scene (Yay!).

Surrich tells Clatto exclusively:

I think movie fans will like the quirky humor and different storyline.

My scene was I had just been on a date with Andre. We had met online and it was all about him trying to get into bed with me by taking me out to a lavish dinner. Tawny isn’t all about morals so it ends up with Andre getting what he was after.

Along with Surrich, Diagnosis: Death stars Bret McKenzie, Rhys Darby, and Jemaine Clement, better known collectively as the leads in HBO’s love-it-or-hate-it “Flight of the Conchords.” To see a short clip of Surrich’s performance in the film, check out her promo reel here.

You can read  Clatto’s exclusive interview with Laura Surrich here. And, don’t forget to read about Surrich and Lucy Lawless’ extended orgy scene in the upcoming DVD/ Blu-ray release of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”

Diagnosis: Death is available now on DVD and Blu-ray disc.

Never-Before-Seen ‘Return of the Jedi’ Footage Shown at Star Wars Celebration V!

vader-and-luke

George Lucas announced today that the Star Wars Saga (all six films) will finally be released on Blu-ray disc in the fall of 2011. The news was revealed to over 30,000 fans this morning at the fifth annual Star Wars Celebration taking place in Orlando, Florida.

Billed as the Main Event, Lucas was joined onstage by Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) during a special Q&A session with Comedy Central player—and noted Star Wars fan—Jon Stewart to premiere never-before-seen footage from 1983’s Return of the Jedi, to be included in the upcoming Blu-ray.

Take a look (courtesy of bootleg vid):

Hamill told fans:

This is my original entrance into the film Return of the Jedi. It was a bit ominous, and was meant to make fans wonder until that Green lightsaber turned on, whether he’d join his father on the darkside or not.

Lucas didn’t reveal much more about the Blu-ray, but did say it would include more deleted scenes, documentaries, and surprises.

Star Wars Celebration V runs through Sunday. Check out some of the convention floor fun in the gallery below:
