French stunner Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) stars in IFC Midnight’s Narcopolis, a sci-fi thriller set in a future where all drugs are legal and sold by licensed companies. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Justin Trefgarne.

Set in 2024, Narcopolis follows an investigator framed for murder when he ties a homicide cover-up to one of the biggest manufactures in the country. Yung plays a mysterious time traveler caught in the mix. Scream Factory releases the film on home video March 3, 2016.

Yung is best known for playing hot ninja Jinx in Paramount’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Miriam Wu, Lisbeth Salander’s lesbian lover, in David Fincher’s adaptation of Swedish author Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Yung will next play assassin Elektra Natchios in the Netflix original series “Daredevil.”

Kingsman stunner Sofia Boutella is in talks to play The Mummy for Universal Pictures. The film is the first in a new franchise built on the studio’s shared universe of classic movie monsters and is slated for release March 24, 2017.

The role is another big score for Boutella, who is coming off a breakthrough performance in Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman as Gazelle, a drop dead gorgeous amputee assassin with lethal blades for feet. She’s starred in Monsters: Dark Continent and will next be seen in Star Trek Beyond.

The Mummy is directed by Transformers and Star Trek writer Alex Kurtzman from a script by Prometheus scribe Jon Spaihts. Tom Cruise is rumored as the film’s male lead, an ex-Navy Seal. Other monsters in Uni’s universe include Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Phantom of the Opera.

Anchor Bay has set a Jan. 22 theatrical release date for co-directors Kevin and Michael Goetz’s American remake of controversial French thriller Martyrs. Produced by Blumhouse and the Safran Company, the film is written by Mark L. Smith (Vacancy) and stars Bailey Noble (”True Blood”) and Troian Bellisario (”Pretty Little Liars”).

Released in 2008 to critical acclaim, Martyrs tells the tragic tale of Anna, a severely traumatized child abuse survivor out to kill the people who abducted her. Unfortunately, her plan goes to shit when she and her BFF are caught in the act by a secret society of religious freaks convinced they can reach God by beating the living shit out of them.

We caught the L.A. premiere of Martyrs this year at Screamfest and were shocked to see the torture all but gone from the film. While the violence of the original made it almost unbearable to watch, it was crucial to the story and made the cult all the more terrifying. That said… those who haven’t seen the French film will most likely enjoy the effort, which is stylish, well-acted, and packs a punch… just one though.

Bugs centers on a group of hot bikini-clad chicks in Los Angeles attacked during a pool party by a massive swarm of deadly insects. Writer and director Ryan McCoy shoots his bikini classic in January but has already cut a 2-minute trailer to entice us.

Judging from the footage shown, Bugs could have been written by my penis… in other words, it looks awesome! Among the movie’s stars are Abigail Richie, Whitney Rice, Ashley Bracken, and 5-foot-11 stunner Katie Stegeman.

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Zach Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer’s Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, a followup to the duo’s 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel that pits the son of Jor-El against suspicious humans and the Batman.

Henry Cavill reprises his role as Superman and Ben Affleck plays the Dark Knight. Co-stars include Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Gal Gadot stealing the entire movie as Wonder Woman at the 2:34 mark.

A new trailer has gone online for Lionsgate’s adaptation of author Seth Grahame-Smith’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, an outrageous re-imagining of the Jane Austin novel Pride and Prejudice, in theaters Feb. 5, 2016.

The film follows Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) and her sisters as they wrestle with morality, manners, and the undead in 19th century London. Co-starring as Elizabeth’s hot sisters are newcomers Ellie Bamber and Millie Brady, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), and Suki Waterhouse (Insurgent).

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was published in 2009 by Quirk Books and garnered positives reviews and big sales, cracking the New York Times bestseller list. Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down) is at the helm.

Caitlin FitzGerald (“Masters of Sex”) stars in Mercy, a home invasion thriller from director and Buried scribe Chris Sparling for Netflix. She joins a cast that includes James Wolk (“Mad Men”), Tom Lipinski (“The Following”), Michael Godere (“The Affair”), and Dan Ziskie (“Treme”).

Mercy follows four estranged brothers gathered together at their childhood home to care for their dying mother. The bros get all kinds of emotional as family secrets are revealed up until the home invasion happens and things get good… we assume.

FitzGerald is best known for playing William Masters’ wife Libby Masters on Showtime’s original series “Masters of Sex.” Netflix will release the film in theaters and exclusively on their streaming service.

Let’s face it… if you’re a dad, the best part of having kids is the babysitter you hire to look after them. But what if the nanny is flat out bonkers? Not bonkers like “I want you to leave your family for me,” but really crazy and out to hurt your rugrats?

That appears to be the situation in director Michael Thelin’s upcoming thriller Emelie, starring Sarah Bolger (“Into the Badlands”) as a last-minute hire brought in to babysit a married couples’ three young children. All goes well until the kids start questioning her odd behavior.

“Spartacus” star Viva Bianca is helping us ring in the New Year with the new slasher Minutes to Midnight. Helmed by 2-Headed Shark Attack director Christopher Ray, the film follows seven friends as they’re hunted down by masked maniacs while on holiday at a ski lodge on New Year’s Eve.

Bianca is best known for playing Roman socialite Iliythia on Starz’s hit swords-and-sandals series “Spartacus.” The Aussie stunner can also be seen as a burnt-out prostitute out to do one last big trick in IFC Midnight’s X and as a tormented cheater in the revenge thriller Scorned.

Resident Evil star Li Bingbing is set to star and produce the biggest budgeted Chinese and Australian co-production in the history of movies! It’s called Nest and is a creature feature from Kimble Rendall, director of the very awesome shark thriller Bait.

Nest follows a group of scientists trapped in an ancient labyrinth with a swarm of man-eating funnel web spiders after making after making a monumental discovery. Co-stars include Kellan Lutz (Twilight) and Kelsey Grammer (“Frasier”).

Bingbing is a famous international actress known in North America for playing Ada Wong in Resident Evil: Retribution and Transformers factory CEO and martial artist Su Yueming in Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction. She’ll next reprise her role as Ada Wong in Resident Evil: Final Chapter.
