Interactive ‘Avatar’ Exhibit in Los Angeles Today! Transform into a Na’vi!

avatar-chick

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is sponsoring an interactive Avatar exhibit today at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles. The event is designed to promote the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of the blockbuster film, available on April 22 (Earth Day).

A 60′-X-10′ structure featuring three morphing stations will capture attendee’s images through state-of-the-art facial-recognition technology and transform them into blue, giant Na’vi tribes-people. A video of the transformation is then emailed to users who provide an email address.

The exhibit kicks off today at 2 p.m. All those who don’t have a job, a girlfriend, or a vagina between their legs are encouraged to attend. Personally, I’ll wait for the cutting-edge technology that will transform my life into that of stupidly-rich asshole James Cameron.

Avatar is the highest earning film of all time and sparked the 3-D craze that has given theater owners the gall to raise prices on 3-D showings.

kirsten-dunst-wet

Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman) is set to star in director Lars Von Trier’s (Antichrist) end-of-the-world sci-fi thriller Melancholia. She will go nude for the part and you can peep a glimpse of of that here.

The film costars Keifer Sutherland, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Udo Kier, Charlotte Rampling, Alexander Skarsgaard, and Stellan Skarsgaard. Dunst replaces Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz in the role.

Eva Longoria-Parker Gets Desperate in ‘The Tenement’

eva-longoria

Looks like television star Eva Longoria-Parker is getting a little desperate to kick-start her film career. After appearing in string of rom-com flops, the “Desperate Housewives” player is shifting gears to headline writer/director Franc Reyes’ (Illegal Tender) upcoming supernatural thriller The Tenement.

Set in New York, The Tenement follows five potential property buyers who get a raw deal when they attend an open house in a haunted tenement building in the Bronx.

Reyes describes his film as a mix of The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror, and Rosemary’s Baby. Shooting is set to begin next month in New York.

Longoria-Parker’s previous horror creds include The Dead Will Tell and the truly horrific Over Her Dead Body.

Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey

Disney has cast 23-year-old French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey as the mermaid Syrena for their upcoming sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Frisbey joins Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane as the franchise’s new faces.

Stranger Tides marks Frisbey’s first American production. The actress made her feature film debut in the French pic Un Barrage Contre Le Pacifique (The Sea Wall).

In a casting-sheet leaked last month, it was discovered that Disney would only hire actresses with natural breasts for roles in the film (a jiggle test would be required during auditions). Looks like Frisbey easily fit that bill:

Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey-Nude

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides finds Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) mixing things up with the notorious pirate Blackbeard (McShane) while on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth. The film is directed by Rob Marshall, the man behind such lavish productions as Memoirs of a Geisha, Nine, and the Oscar-winning musical Chicago.

Shooting begins in June.

(Update: See more pics of Astrid here).

(UPDATE: IS MERMAID ANTOINETTE NIKPRELAJ HOTTER THAN ASTRID?)

Scarlett Johansson Attached to ‘Lunatic at Large’

scarlett_johansson

Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2) and Sam Rockwell (Moon) are reportedly set to star in Lunatic at Large, a long-lost Stanley Kubrick (The Shining) project based on a 1950’s treatment from “The Killer Inside Me” author Jim Thompson.

(Breaking News: Nude pics of Johansson have been leaked)

Discovered after Kubrick’s death in 1999 by his son-in-law Philip Hobbs, the Lunatic at Large treatment was adapted by screenwriter Stephen R. Clarke in 2006.

That year, Clarke leaked the following script details to the New York Times:

Set in New York in 1956, it tells the story of Johnnie Sheppard, an ex-carnival worker with serious anger-management issues, and Joyce, a nervous, attractive barfly he picks up in a Hopperesque tavern scene.

There’s a newsboy who flashes a portentous headline, a car chase over a railroad crossing with a train bearing down, and a romantic interlude in a spooky, deserted mountain lodge.

The great set piece is a nighttime carnival sequence in which Joyce, lost and afraid, wanders among the tents and encounters a sideshow’s worth of familiar carnie types: the Alligator Man, the Mule-Faced Woman, the Midget Monkey Girl, the Human Blockhead, with the inevitable noggin full of nails.

Johansson will most likely play Joyce the barfly. No word yet on whether she gets punched in the face.

It’s also unclear if Clarke will remain on board as screenwriter now that the project is moving forward.

Spanking the Wookie: See ‘Star Wars’ Strippers on Video!

gaychewie

Back in January, I posted a story about the Devil’s Playground burlesque troupe and their Star Wars themed strip-off events. Now, we have video (courtesy of G4).

Check it out:

Since becoming aware of this show, I have searched my feelings repeatedly and have regrettably determined that I can not spank the wookie to this type of gimmick. Don’t get me wrong, the concept is gold. It’s the execution that sucks wampa balls.

Watching Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Chewbacca strip down to frilly lingerie is downright disturbing. It’s obvious these strippers don’t really know a thing about Star Wars and have simply found a hook to part geeks from their druggats.

princessL

Otherwise, they would know that, along with  Princess Leia and Queen Amidala, the Star Wars universe is rich with sexy female characters including lady Sith Lumiya, bad-bitch Mara Jade, Jaina Solo (Han and Leia’s daughter), Queen Apailana, Rabe (Amidala’s royal handmaiden), and Oola, dancer for Jabba the Hut (and obvious choice for a Star Wars themed strip-show if you ask me).

Oh, and another thing … some of these dancers really could stand to do a few laps around the Dagobah system (yes, I’m talking to you lady Vader).

OK, I’ve gotten my Jedi robes in a bunch over this. If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in my room resting on my Millennium Falcon bed.

Robert Rodriguez & Nimrod Antal Talk ‘Predators’

predators_poster

A new featurette for 20th Century Fox’s Predators has hit the web. The clip provides new footage and plenty of insight on the reboot courtesy of producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal.

Check it out:

Predators looks pretty damn cool and I have dug the photos and previous BTS clips, however, I just can’t stop snickering every time Rodriguez says “I leaned on Nimrod here.”

The film stars Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and everyone’s favorite Mexi-can Danny Trejo. It arrives in theaters on july 9.

Les_Aventures_poster

French weather-girl-turned-actress Louise Bourgoin headlines her first fantasy-adventure feature in director/producer Luc Besson’s (The Fifth Element) adaptation of Jacques Tardi’s comic book series The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec.

Adele Blanc-Sec’s many adventures are indeed extraordinary. From what we see in the trailer, this first outing finds the feisty novelist/adventurer battling against a pterodactyl, outwitting corrupt officials and demon-worshipers, releasing the mummy of Patmosis, and soaking her tired nude body in a tub.

Set in Paris before the first World War, The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec was first published as a comic strip in 1976 in the French newspaper Sud-Ouest.

Louise Bourgoin was a weather-girl on Canal + in France.

Luc Besson’s The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec will hit theaters in France on April 14. No word yet on a U.S. release.

Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Nicholas Brendon has been charged with four misdemeanors after attempting to fight off cops during an alcohol-fueled night of disorderly conduct in Venice, California last month (click here for that story).

The charges include vandalism, resisting arrest, and two counts of battery against a police officer. He faces up to two years in jail and $4,000 in fines if convicted.

Unlike Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Grudge) and Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse”), both of whom continue to work despite a string of failed projects, Brendon’s lack of breasts and vaginal talents have doomed him to a soul-killing career in such straight-to-DVD crap as Blood on the Highway, available June 29.

Take a look:

Maybe this flick could be used in Brendon’s defense. It’s easy to see why he would want to break something after starring in it. I’m sure, if he had a home, he would have broken his own stuff.

Brendon played lovable dork Xander on “Buffythe Vampire Slayer” from 1997 to 2003.

Heidi Montag’s Triple-D-Boobs Attack Las Vegas!

39387PCN_HeidiBikini

Unlike Audrina Patridge and Mischa Barton, both of whom have starred in recent horror flicks, “Hills” star Heidi Montag has yet to earn her keep on this blog. However, there are two big reasons why I will continue to post about her: she’s writing a script about a killer shark and she’s campaigning to be the new Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.

Oh, and she has huge tits too.

(UPDATE: To see Heidi use her big guns in a Transformers 3 audition video, click here)

So, now that we’ve established that my penis writes this site, let’s take a look at photos of Montag at the opening of Hotel Aira’s Liquid pool this past Saturday in Las Vegas.
