“Battlestar Galactica” babe Tricia Helfer may be heading back to the small screen full-time. The 5-foot-11, 36-year-old looker has been cast in a new NBC supernatural cop-show pilot entitled “17th Precinct.” Produced by “BSG” showrunner Ron Moore, the series follows a group of police officers in the fictional town of Exelsior as they fight and solve crimes rooted in magic and the paranormal.

Helfer, who played sexy Cylon Number Six on “BSG,” stars as Morgana, a necromancer who aids the 17th precinct by communicating with the dead. Her costars include Eamonn Walker (Unbreakable), Stockard Channing (Practical Magic), and “BSG” alumni Jaime Bamber and James Callis.

Helfer’s last genre role was opposite “True Blood’s” Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer in Lionsgate’s straight-to-DVD home-invasion thriller Open House. She also starred as a sexy assassin in The Black Keys grindhouse-y muisc video for their hit single “Howlin’ for You.”
