‘Dexter’ Starlet Katia Winter Will Keep You Up in ‘Sleepy Hollow’

Swedish stunner Katia Winter is set to star in the new FOX pilot “Sleepy Hollow,” a re-imagining of Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek Into Darkness) and directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld).

“Sleepy Hollow” finds Ichabod Crane working with a small town female sheriff in an effort to protect the community from the forces of evil. Winter will play Crane’s wife Katrina, a nurse with the 37th Regiment in the Revolutionary War.

Joining Winter in the pilot are Nicole Beharie (Shame) and former 7Up pitchman Orlando Jones as Lt. Frank Williams, a homicide detective sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate a double murder. The role of Crane has yet to be cast.

Winter is coming off season seven of Showtime’s “Dexter,” in which she toplessly played Russian stripper Nadia, and the Sam Jackson and Nina Dobrev sci-fi actioner Arena. She will next be seen in The Banshee Chapter, a drug-thriller from actor Zachary Quinto’s new production shingle Before the Door.
