Sara Paxton Spends ‘Shark Night’ in Tiny Bikini!

Sara-Paxton-Bikini-Shark-Night

Posted above is the first image from Relativity Media’s regrettably PG-13 rated creature-feature Shark Night 3-D. The shot features a terrified—and bikini-clad—Sara Paxton (The Last House on the Left) trapped in a shark cage by a hungry man-eater.

Paxton describes the film:

It’s very different from Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3D. But I don’t think people should go in expecting The Reader with Kate Winslet, either.

The photo is pretty cool, but my “Shark Week” expertise tells me that’s a great white trying to take a bite out of Paxton. Of course, whites don’t do fresh water; only bull sharks do. So, I’m gonna guess this scene is taking place in the ocean.

Shark Night 3-D is directed by David R. Ellis (The Final Destination 3-D) and costars Katharine McPhee (The House Bunny), Chris Carmack (The Butterfly Effect 3), Alyssa Diaz (Red Dawn), Joel David Moore (Avatar), Dustin Milligan (The Messengers) and Sinqua Walls (Savage County).

Emily Browning Is One Sleepy Hooker in ‘Sleeping Beauty’

Emily-Browning-Sleeping-Beauty-Poster

A trailer for author/screenwriter Julia Leigh’s erotically-charged directorial debut Sleeping Beauty has hit the web. The film appears to be not so much a re-imaging of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale as it is an exploration of the sleeping princess syndrome, a sexual fetish in which guys get off on fucking women who are in a state of unconsciousness (man, I miss college).

Australian actress Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) stars in the film as a student-turned-prostitute named Lucy who allows men to do all the nasty stuff they want to her while she’s in a drug induced slumber inside what is called a Sleeping Beauty chamber.

Sleeping Beauty will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Browning made Clatto’s esteemed list of The 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-fi Today.

Jennifer Lawrence Posed In Her Panties to Promote ‘X-Men: First Class’

jennifer-lawrence-gq-lingerie

Actress Jennifer Lawrence posed in vintage swimsuits and lingerie for the May issue of GQ magazine to promote her new film X-Men: First Class, an origins story set in the 1960’s and directed by Matthew Vaughn. The 20-year-old stunner plays young Mystique.

Vaughn tells GQ why he hired Lawrence:

There are a lot of young American actors right now who haven’t got any technique. And to be blunt, a lot of these kids assume that just by having a good set of teeth and tits, smiling for the camera’s gonna be enough. I needed someone who could act.

Lawrence, who scored an Oscar nomination for last year’s indie-drama Winter’s Bone, is also set to headline A Bigger Boat’s House at the End of the Street and Lionsgate adaptation of author Suzanne Collins beloved book series Hunger Games.

Mickey-Rourke

Human drug Mickey Rourke plays a downtrodden jazz musician attempting to free a beautiful winged woman from a circus sideshow in Image Entertainment’s upcoming supernatural romance Passion Play. It appears to be a role that the 58-year-old comeback king is none to happy with.

He tells Vulture:

Another terrible movie. But, you know, in your career and all the movies you make, you’re going to make dozens of terrible ones.

Rourke goes on to say that he takes these terrible roles for the money, that Passion Play is getting a limited release because it’s so bad, and explained that his comment about costar Megan Fox being the most talented actress he had ever worked with was simply a backhanded compliment used to illustrate how much more his previous leading ladies sucked donkey balls.

Passion Play will have a limited theatrical run starting on May 6. Home editions will arrive on May 21.

danielle-harris-bikini-top

IFC Midnight has released a trailer for Dark Sky Films and Glass Eye Pix’s new vampire-apocalypse thriller Stake Land. Directed by Jim Mickle, the film stars Nick Damici (“The Black Donnellys”), Connor Paolo (“Gossip Girl”), a rough-looking Kelly McGillis (The Innkeepers), and genre fav Danielle Harris (Shiver).

The footage shown in the clip is somewhat confusing in that it seems to suggest that vampires like to kill and devour people. In fact, there isn’t a single bloodsucker in this flick that sparkles, eats vegetarian, and dates high school goth chicks. I just don’t know if people are ready for man-eating vamps.

Stake Land will be in theaters for a limited run on April 22. It’ll be available On-Demand on April 25.

Danielle Harris is part of Clatto’s list of The 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-Fi Today.

adrianne-palicki-wonder-woman-shorts

In response to what has understandably become this year’s hot-button issue, NBC president Robert Greenblatt has announced that former “Friday Night Lights” hottie Adrianne Palicki will, indeed, wear star-spangled booty shorts in their David Kelly-produced reboot of yesteryear’s “Wonder Woman” series.

Greenblatt explains to TVLine:

There was an initial outcry about the long pants – you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts. But the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale.

We haven’t made any changes from what was planned. But it’s always good to hear the feedback. I’d rather have people really passionately engaged in conversation, even if they hate something, than be kind of bored.

Greenblatt, you beautiful genius! It all makes sense now. Wonder Woman will wear the shorts while having a sexy cat-fight with Veronica Cale—played by British stunner Elizabeth Hurley—someplace where there’s lots of mud or jello or pillows. It seems so obvious now. Well played.

You also got to hand it to writer/producer Kelly for keeping things real on the page. Wonder Woman is a female superhero. Unlike her male counterparts who don’t think twice about wearing the same spandex tights every night, Wonder Woman is going to have to have some fashion choices.

After all, there will be nights when she’s feeling bloated and unattractive. On those days, she’ll wear the pants. When she’s lost a few pounds or wants to make other heroines jealous, she’ll sport the shorts. If someone has to die on the streets at the hands of some hooligan while she picks out her outfit, so be it.
