Colombian actress Sophia Vergara (“Modern Family”) is one of the world’s most beautiful women. But, regrettably, there may come a time when the voluptuous 38-year-old stunner will need to be put out to pasture with the likes of Kim Cattrall, Julia Roberts, and Madonna.

But, don’t worry. There is another.

Sandra Vergara is Sophia’s 24-year-old sister and the newest face in DreamWork’s upcoming remake of director Tom Holland’s classic vampire-thriller Fright Night. The aspiring starlet will play magician-turned-vampire-killer Peter Vincent’s (David Tennant) girlfriend and assistant.

Directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) and penned by Marti Noxon (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Fright Night is set in Las Vegas and stars Anton Yelchin (Terminator: Salvation) as protagonist Charley Brewster, Imogen Poots as his girlfriend Amy, Colin Farrell (Ondine) as the vampire Jerry Dandridge, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick Ass) as Charlie’s BFF “Evil” Ed Thompson, and Toni Collete (The Sixth Sense) as Charley’s mom.

Fright Night gets rolling this summer in New Mexico. It will arrive in theaters on Oct. 7, 2011.

The original Fright Night made Clatto’s list of 15 Vampire Movies That Won’t Make You Gay.

Dimension Films has posted promo stills featuring British model/actress Kelly Brook on their sexy Piranha 3-D viral website Wild Wild Girls. The shots showcase Brook’s natural talents … in a red bikini.

The photos are taken from a scene that finds Brook and porn star Riley Steele’s characters, Danni and Crystal, going wild in the fictional spring break town of Lake Victoria. Jerry O’Connell, who plays Joe Francis (Girls Gone Wild) parody Derrick Jones, films them as they work a crowd of horny party revelers into a frenzy.

Piranha 3-D is directed by Alexandre Aja and stars Elisabeth Shue (Hollow Man), Ving Rhames (Day of the Dead), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Richard Dreyfus (Jaws), Adam Scott (The Return), Dina Meyer (Saw IV) and Jessica Szohr (House at the End of the Drive).

The film arrives in theaters on Aug. 20.

Jennifer Lawrence, the insanely attractive 19-year-old star of the award-winning indie-drama Winter’s Bone, has been cast in Mathew Vaughn’s eagerly anticipated X-Men origins reboot X-Men: First Class. Lawrence will play sexy shape-shifting mutant Mystique (played by Rebecca Romijn in the original X-Men trilogy).

Lawrence joins a cast that includes Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Caleb Landry as Banshee, Michael Fassbender as Magneto and James McAvoy as Prof. Charles Xavier. Kevin Bacon has also signed on to star as the film’s villain (possibly Mister Sinister according to internet rumors).

X-Men: First Class will go into production next month in London. Twentieth Century Fox has scheduled the film for release on June 3, 2011.

Lawrence is also set to headline A Bigger Boat’s new frightener House at the End of the Street. She plays a teen girl caught up with a boy whose family was murdered.

Burlesque troupe Devil’s Playground returned to the stage on July 10th to perform their popular Star Wars themed striptease show at The Music Box theater in Hollywood, CA. However, a disturbance in the force—namely a cease-and-desist letter from Lucasfilms’ antipiracy department—has strong-armed troupe founder Courtney Cruz into making some notable changes to the act.

For starters, the Star Wars costumes have now been feminized with touches of glitter and pink. Names have been changed as well (i.e. Princess Leia is now Princess Slaya, Chewie is now Chunky). The stage show also features girlier props such as giant lipstick canons and the addition of an intergalactic smuggler named Juan Cholo.

I’m not sure if the show’s new tweaks will get Lucasfilms off the dancers’ tattooed asses, but it’s a hell of a Wampa step in the right direction. Watching Sith Lords, wookies, and Imperial stormtroopers strip down to their frilly panties is just not my cup of blue milk.

Dimension Films have updated their Piranha 3-D viral marketing website, Wild Wild Girls, with nude photos of porn-star-turned-almost-actress Riley Steele in a brilliantly shameless effort to bait chronic masturbators moviegoers to see director Alexandre Aja’s remake of Joe Dante’s 1978 original.

Of course, seeing nude pictures of a porn star is like seeing your sister naked—you’ve seen it all before, but it’s nice to know it’s there. But, I digress.

Steele and costar Kelly Brook are  profiled on the site as their party-girl characters Crystal and Danni, respectively. The gorgeous duo also share a nude underwater scene in the flick.

Warner Bros. held the Los Angeles premiere for director Chris Nolan’s Inception earlier this week at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. Sadly, I was unable to attend as I was too busy purchasing my 2-for-1 Sorcerer’s Apprentice tickets at Fandango (Yeah, it’ll probably blow, but nothing in Inception will be as eye-popping as Monica Bellucci, baby).

Joining Nolan on the red carpet were the film’s stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard (in an insanely hot formfitting dress), Ellen Page, Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Lukas Haas, blonde stunner Telulah Riley and Ken Watanabe.

Other celebs on hand included a bra-less AnnaLynne McCord, Twilight’s Kellan Lutz, Matrix babe Carrie-Ann Moss, Djimon Hounsou, a pregnant Winnie Cooper (Danica McKellar), “The Bachelor’s” Erica Rose and her enormous breasts, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ Asian ex-wife Kimora Lee, and soap star Sharon Case.

Laura Vandervoort is swooping into “Smallville” this fall for a special final season episode that will have the stunning 25-year-old starlet reprising her role as Supergirl. Vandervoort was introduced as Superman’s Kryptonian cousin Kara Zor-El during the long-running hit show’s 7th season.

The Supergirl episode is scheduled to air in October and marks Vandervoort’s return to the series since appearing in season eight’s “Bloodline.” Producers for the CW program are also bringing back former series regular John Schneider (Clark Kent’s dad) for one or two episodes.

“Smallville” begins its tenth and final season on Sept. 24.

Vandervoort currently stars as alien-visitor Lisa on ABC’s “V.”

The folks in Spain took a break from celebrating their World Cup victory last night to get their kicks at the Madrid premiere of Pesadilla en Elm Street (gringo translation: Nightmare on Elm Street). Jackie Earle Haley, who plays Freddy Krueger in the Platinum Dunes remake, sported a Spanish soccer jersey to the event and even demonstrated some of his moves (see gallery below).

Joining Haley at the shindig were many of Spain’s celebrities including actors Ana Fernandez, Andrea Duro, the very cute Ursula Corbero, Luis Fernandez, Gonzalo Ramos, pop singers Angie, Labuat, and Edurne, and Spanish designer Carlos Diez.

Actress Aroa Gimeo was also in attendance. Gimeno stars in the Spanish short film Zombies & Cigarettes and the Spanish soap “Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso,” which translated literally means “Without Tits, There is No Paradise.” It’s funny because it’s true.

Imagine getting stuck in an elevator with sexy Serbian-born actress Bojana Novakovic (Drag Me to Hell). Not such a bad thing, right? But, what if the devil was in that very same elevator cock-blocking you? Now, you’ve got a horror movie.

Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for its upcoming supernatural frightener Devil. Directed by Drew and John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine), the film centers on five strangers trapped in an elevator, one of which turns out to be Beelzebub himself.

The film, scripted by Brian Nelson, is based on a short story by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense) and is the first in a trio of horror flicks produced by the flash-in-the-pan director. Originally entitled The Night Chronicles: Devil, the title was shorten to Devil when the folks at Universal realized that Shyamalan sucks donkey balls.

Devil stars Bokeem Woodbine (Black Dynamite), Caroline Dhavernas (“Wonderfalls”), Chris Messina (Away We Go), Geoffrey Arend (Bubble Boy), and Bojana Novakovic and her clingy white tank-top.

Devil will be in theaters on Sept. 17.

New York based pranksters Improv Everywhere staged a subway reenactment of the Star Wars scene in which Princess Leia is captured by the Imperial forces and confronted by Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Despite the fact that the NYC subway system is plagued by piss-soaked bums, flashers, thieves, and break dancers, commuters on the 6 train appear to be genuinely surprised by the stunt and thrilled to see it end without anyone being mugged or stabbed in the throat.

The white walls and sliding doors on the train reminded us of the rebel ship from the movie, and we thought it would be fun to see how people would react to a surprise appearance by the iconic characters. We spread out the actors along the train line, staging it so they would enter the right car at the right time.

Hmm. I once attempted to reenact a scene from The Taking of Pelham 123 on a NY subway and, boy, did it not go well.
