Elizabeth Hurley Shoots ‘Wonder Woman’ Scene in Skintight Dress!

Elizabeth-Hurley-Wonder-Woman-Set-8

Beautiful Brit Elizabeth Hurley was hard at work in Los Angeles this week shooting a scene for writer/producer David E. Kelly’s new “Wonder Woman” pilot for NBC. The 45-year-old model/actress plays villainess Veronica Cale, a pharmaceutical’s CEO resentful of Diana Prince’s goody-goody agenda.

My knack for the obvious tells me the scene revolves around Cale stepping out of limo to be swarmed by news reporters. My fashionista penis also notes that Hurley’s smoking body is wonderfully showcased in a form-fitting turquoise teal dress complimented by nude platform peep-toe shoes.

“Wonder Woman” stars Adrianne Palicki as the Amazonian demigod-turned-crime-fighter. To see a photo of Palicki in her Wonder Woman costume, go here.

Hurley is best known for her role as secret agent/fembot Vanessa Kensington in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and its sequel Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. She also played a sexy little devil in the underrated comedy Bedazzled.

Connie-Britton-busty

“Friday Night Lights” star Connie Britton has scored the female lead in producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s new hush-hush TV series  “An American Horror Story.” The busty 44-year-old actress will play Vivien Harmon, the wife of sensitive therapist Ben Harmon.

Murphy will shoot the pilot episode in April. Plot details remain top secret. However, if Murphy’s “Glee” and “Nip/Tuck” programs are any indication, the new show will most likely go gay by season 2 and feature a parade of  guest cameos.

Britton, who is best known for her roles on “Spin City” and “Friday Night Lights,” was last seen on the big screen in Platinum Dunes’ remake of Wes Craven’s A Nightmare On Elm Street. She played Nancy Holbrook’s mom.

‘Choose’ to Watch Katheryn Winnick in New Trailer!

Katheryn_Winnick._Bikinijpg

IFC Midnight has released a trailer for director Marcus Graves’ upcoming slasher Choose. The film stars Canadian actress Katheryn Winnick as an aspiring journalist on the trail of a sadistic serial killer who forces his victims to make horrendous, life-altering choices (think a less moralizing Jigsaw).

Choose costars Kevin Pollak (End of Days), Bruce Dern (Swamp Devil), Talia Balsam (Killer Instinct), and Nicholas Tucci (Undocumented). IFC will release the film in selected theaters on March 18, but you can see it now on demand via Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Time Warner, Bright House, and iTunes.

Horror fans should recognize Winnick from her turn in director John Simpson’s brutal 2008 frightener Amusement and 2006’s home-video original Hellraiser: Hellworld. The 33-year-old stunner can currently be seen as war correspondent Hannah Burley on the Fox crime drama “Bones.”

Shelley-Hennig-Circle

Former Miss Teen USA Shelley Hennig (“Days of Our Lives”) has been cast as head witch Diana on writer/producer Kevin Williamson’s small-screen adaptation of author L.J. Smith’s “Secret Circle.” Canadian starlet Jessica Parker Kennedy (Now) also joins the show as Melissa, a member of Diana’s coven.

Jena-Malone-Abbie-Cornish-Vanessa-Hudgens-Sucker-Punch

Sucker Punch, director Zack Snyder’s soon-to-be-released girl-power fantasy actioner, was screened in Los Angeles some days ago. I was fortunate enough to catch it and absolutely loved it. Sure, it could have used some gore and a shower scene, but all-in-all the flick is sexy, slick, and fun.

The film, which opens March 25, centers on a young girl who is committed to an insane asylum by her incestuous father after she refuses to blow him. Once in the loony bin, she befriends a group of sexy misfits and together they dream up a plan to escape the facility in their lingerie. To say any more would spoil the ride.

Now, when I dig a movie, I really want to see it do well. However, since 2009’s Jennifer’s Body, my tastes just haven’t mixed with moviegoers. Jennifer’s Body went limp. Piranha 3-D sank. And, Drive Angry 3-D crashed and burned. Hence, I have a bad feeling that Sucker Punch is gonna be anything but a knockout.

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens

Fortunately, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released a grip of images from the movie that should do a proper job of enticing jailbait fans. The shots showcase Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, and Jena Malone.

Emily Browning made Clatto’s list of The 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-Fi Today.

michelle-ryan-zombies

British starlet Michelle Ryan, best known in the States for her role as Jaime Summers on the short-lived NBC reboot of  “The Bionic Woman,” has leaped into director Matthias Hoene’s (Beyond the Rave) horror-comedy Cockneys vs. Zombies.

Written by James Moran, the scribe behind 2006’s hilariously fucked-up frightener Severance, Cockneys vs. Zombies centers on a group of bumbling bank robbers who inadvertently unleash a zombie army while breaking into a 350-year-old vault.

Ryan joins a cast that includes Ashley Thomas (4.3.2.1.), Alan Ford (Airborne), Harry Treadaway (City of Ember), Honor Blackman (To the Devil a Daughter), and Jack Doolan (“The Green Green Grass”). Her previous genre creds include the BBC’s “Merlin” series and an episode of “Dr. Who.”

Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in Mandalay Pictures’ big screen adaptation of author Joe Hill’s horror-romancer Horns. Radcliffe will play a man who awakens after one drunken night to find that horns are growing out of his head and that he is developing mysterious powers that he soon hopes to use to avenge the murder of his girlfriend.

The book’s synopsis reads:

When he wakes the next morning he has a thunderous hangover . . . and horns growing from his temples. Ig possesses a terrible new power to go with his terrible new look—a macabre gift he intends to use to find the monster who killed his lover. Being good and praying for the best got him nowhere. Now it’s time for revenge.

Matthew Fox Will Kill a Bitch in ‘I, Alex Cross’

111685_D_0943

Matthew Fox has been cast as vicious serial killer Michael “The Butcher of Sligo” Sullivan in director Rob Cohen’s (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) adaptation of bestselling author James Patterson’s I, Alex Cross. The film marks Fox’s  first major role since ABC’s Emmy award-winning series “LOST.”

Produced by QED International, I, Alex Cross stars Hollywood mogul and 6-foot-5 transvestite Tyler Perry as the titular detective and Ed Burns as his friend and partner Det. Tommy Kane. The film’s plot will differ from Patterson’s novel, but still revolves around The Butcher’s murder of Cross’ wife.

QED is currently shopping the project to distributors as the first in a three part Alex Cross reboot. Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman originally played Alex Cross in Paramount Pictures’ Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider.

Fox, of course, starred as Jack Shepard on the greatest show that will ever be “LOST.” His big screen creds are less impressive: Vantage Point, Speed Racer, and We Are Marshall.

Radha Mitchell Returns to ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3-D’

Radha-Mitchell-Silent-Hill-2

Producers Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody (Resident Evil: Afterlife) announced today that Silent Hill stars Radha Mitchell (pictured above), Kara Unger, and Sean Bean have been cast in their long-awaited sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3-D. The actors join newcomers Adelaide Clemens (Vampire) and Kit Harington (“Game of Thrones”).

Says director Michael J. Basset:

It wouldn’t be the same without some of the original Silent Hill cast. Sean, Radha and Deborah’s return will certainly thrill fans of the franchise and compliment Revelations stars Adelaide and Kit.

Cinematographer Maxime Alexandre, who worked on last year’s The Crazies and Alexandre Aja’s gruesome 2003 slasher High Tension, promises a 3-D experience worthy of raiding your mom’s purse. He says:

With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of Silent Hill than they ever dreamed possible. Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them.

The original Silent Hill, directed by Christophe Gans and penned by Roger Avary, has earned over $99 million worldwide and over $22 million in U.S. DVD sales.

Mitchell, a favorite among horror fans, made her genre debut in the 2000 sci-fi actioner Pitch Black. Other creds include Richard Franklin’s (Psycho 2, Cloak & Dagger) boat thriller Visitors, Greg Mclean’s giant-croc frightener Rogue, Jonathan Mostow’s sci-fi mind-bender Surrogates, Breck Eisner’s The Crazies, and Julie Delpy’s upcoming Erzsebet Bathory bio-pic The Countess.

Radha Mitchell made Clatto’s list of The 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-Fi Today.
