The Associação da Luta Contra o Cancer (ALCC) in Mozambique, Africa is coming under-fire for using Ad agency DDB’s provocative artist renderings of DC and Marvel superheroes in their breast cancer awareness print campaign.
The ads, which DDB did not license from DC and Marvel (hence the omission of their faces), feature Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, Storm (pictured above), and She-Hulk examining their large perfect animated breasts for abnormalities.
The ads are being called sexist and juvenile, and the ALCC criticized for not using real Mozambican women in their campaign. But, supporters of the ads state that doing so would be like asking people to care about saving the tuna or any other ugly animal (or, so I imagine them stating).
Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory have got a Christmas greeting for Resident Evil fans. Shot on the set of Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment in the popular franchise, the clip features the sexy starlets putting an evil twist to a popular carol.
Resident Evil: Retribution finds Jovovich and Guillory reprising their roles as Alice and Jill Valentine, respectively. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and is slated for release on Sept. 14, 2012.
“Camelot’s” Eva Green is nearing a deal to star in the Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures 300: Rise of an Empire. The 31-year-old Paris-born actress will play Artemisia, the golden goddess who leads Persian king Xerxes into battle against Athenian general Themistokles.
Original 300 director Zach Snyder returns as producer and cowriter on a script based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel. Noam Murro (Smart People) will helm the project, which is set to shoot early next year.
Green, best known for playing Bond girl Vesper Lynd in Casino Royal and sorceress Morgan Le Fay on the Starz short-lived series “Camelot,” will next be seen as witch Angelique Bouchard in Tim Burton’s big-screen adaptation of the 1966 TV goth soap “Dark Shadows.”
A teaser-trailer for Bryan Singer’s (X-Men) 3-D fantasy-adventure Jack the Giant Killerhas hit the web. The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures production is a dark re-imagining of the classic “Jack and the Beanstalk” fable.
Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies) plays Jack, the young farmhand who inadvertently opens a gateway to a world of giants eager to take control of the earth. Eleanor Tomlinson (Alice in Wonderland) is the runaway princess he falls for and must rescue from the behemoths.
Peep it:
I’m digging the trailer, but I hope Singer has at least one of the giants whip out his beanstalk to pee on the humans. It would make for an amazing flood sequence—like the opening to Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter.
Just an idea.
Jack the Giant Killer also stars Ewan McGregor as head of the king’s elite guard, Stanley Tucci as the king’s evil advisor, and Bill Nighy and John Kassir as the two-headed giant ruler Fallon. The film arrives in theaters on June 15, 2012.

A trailer for season two of Starz’s hit swords-and-sandals series “Spartacus” has hit the web. Set to premiere Jan. 27, “Spartacus: Vengeance” finds our hero leading a slave revolution while attempting to take revenge on the man responsible for the enslavement and death of his beloved wife.
It’s been a long wait for “Spartacus” fans and a lot has changed since the show debuted to rave reviews a year ago. For starters, Liam McIntyre has stepped into the titular role, replacing the late Andy Whitfield, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson (“FlashForward”) is now portraying Slave Naevia (Lesley-Ann Brandt left the show to pursue other projects … like Zombie Apocalypse).
He's totally gonna nail that chick
The trailer is balls-out bloody and exciting, and provides a peek at a very much alive Lucretia (Lucy Lawless), a deeply disturbed Ilithyia (Viva Bianca), and an arena battling Gannicus (Dustin Clare), last seen in the “Spartacus” prequel “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.”
HBO has released a teaser for season two of its acclaimed fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” The clip is light on action, but does feature a voiceover from Lord Stannis Baratheon–King Robert’s brother—promising a medieval ass-whopping to those keeping him from his rightful seat on the throne.
“Game of Thrones” season two is set to premiere in April. The show will consist of 10 episodes spanning the length of the book “A Clash of Kings,” the second volume in author George R.R. Martin’s popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire.”
Columbia Pictures has released the first official trailer for producer/director Barry Sonnenfeld’s Men in Black 3. The sequel finds Will Smith’s Agent J heading back in time to save Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K from an awful fate with the help of his younger self, played by Josh Brolin.
Men in Black 3 costars Emma Thompson, Rip Torn, Johnny Knoxville, Jemaine Clement, and Alice Eve, who regrettably is not seen in the trailer. Pussycat Doll and “X-Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger also makes an appearance in the film during the opening sequence.
U.K. distribution house Entertainment Film Distributors has unleashed a two-minute-plus trailer for Westend Films’ upcoming horror sex-comedy Love Bite. The film follows four high school clowns as they attempt to survive a werewolf with an appetite for small town virgins.
Love Bite is directed by some guy named Andy De Emmony and stars “Gossip Girl” and Piranha 3-D starlet Jessica Szohr as a mysterious American traveler. Costars include Luke Pasqualino (The Apparition) and Ed Speleers (A Lonely Place to Die).
Szohr looks amazing, but be warned: the movie is ridiculously foreign. Expect plenty of male nudity and questionable male-bonding shenanigans. Talk to your penis before viewing.
Model-turned-actress-turned-drunken-cop-beater-and-escape-artist Estella Warren is bottling up her crazy to use in Danish writer/director Adam Neutzsky-Wulff’s new psych-thriller The Stranger Inside, currently shooting on the isle of Mallorca, Spain.
The 32-year-old Canadian stunner plays a psychotic actress tormented by a mysterious traveler (I Spit On Your Grave’sSarah Butler) while vacationing in the Mediterranean with her psychiatrist husband (William Baldwin). Costars include Jeffrey Pierce (“Alcatraz”) and Katia Winter (Arena).
Warren, best known for costarring in Tim Burton’s 2001 Planet of the Apes remake, will next be seen as Catherine “Gypsy” Share in director Susanna Lo’s Manson Girls, a gritty bio-pic that follows the lives of eight female Charles Manson cult members up until the notorious Tate/ LaBianca murders.
