The most frightening thing about Fox’s sci-fi/FBI procedural “Fringe” is how awful it is. Chock-full of lousy acting, lame dialogue, cliched characters, and cheesy effects, it’s hard to believe that J.J. Abrams has a hand in its production. The show does have one thing going for it: actress Anna Torv.
Torv, who plays agent Olivia Dunham, can be seen in a semi-nude pictorial in the March issue of Esquire magazine. Take a peek:
Human drug Mickey Rourke appears to be quite smitten with Megan Fox, his costar in director Mitch Glazer’s supernatural-drama Passion Play.
The 57-year-old actor tells Entertainment Weekly:
I didn’t know too much about her, except what I read. And I think the pleasant surprise was this girl who’s a world-class beauty turned out to be probably the best young actress I’ve ever worked with. I don’t know if a lot of her films have showcased her acting ability more than, say, being action-oriented, but she really stepped up the plate with this one and was very consistent and professional, beyond her years. At 23, I couldn’t do half of what she’s doing.
Rourke’s statement appears to put Fox head-and-shoulders above his Wrestler costars Evan Rachel Wood and Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei.
Rourke comments:
Well, The Wrestler was quite tough. There wasn’t much chemistry there. Uh, that’s a whole other conversation. With Megan and I, there’s a lot of chemistry and a lot of respect. We’re both comfortable with each other.
Fox is unjustly nominated for Worst Actress at this year’s Razzies Awards for her performances in Transformers 2and Jennifer’s Body(I’m guessing the Razzies are determined by fat girls and gay guys).

Actress Jessica Alba told MTV News that she will be playing twins in director Robert Rodriguez’s revenge-actioner Machete.
She says:
I play identical twins. One’s bad and one’s good. There’s a ton of action in it. My character does a bit. I got to do some action finally again. This movie is Robert Rodriguez, old school at its best.
Check out the interview:
In addition to kicking ass, MTV reports that Alba will also flick her bean during an on-screen bathtub masturbation scene (I’m guessing that’s the bad twin) that could possibly give her ass-spanked turn in The Killer Inside Me a run for its stroke-value.
(UPDATE: I caught Machete at the theater and Alba looks amazing, but sadly does not play twins and does not masturbate. i have no idea why she or MTV said otherwise, but they owe my penis an apology. Great flick though!)
Machete’s amazing cast includes Danny Trejo as the titular antihero, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Rose McGowen, Cheech Marin, Steven Seagal, Don Johnson, and a topless Lindsay Lohan.
Genre babe Mary Elizabeth Winstead has finally secured her first starring role in a studio film. She, along with Joel Edgerton, will headline Universal Pictures upcoming remake of John Carpenter’sThe Thing, set to start shooting on March 15 in Toronto.
Winstead will play a PH.D. candidate who ventures to Antarctica to join a Norwegian research team’s investigation of a frozen spaceship trapped under ice. When an alien organism attacks the crew, she and Edgerton’s helicopter pilot character are left to fend for themselves.
Winstead has starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, Final Destination 3, The Ring 2, and the Dimension Films remake Black Christmas.
Amanda Fuller has been acting on television since she was about 10-years-old, appearing on such shows as “Walker Texas Ranger,” “Two of a Kind,” and “Touched by an Angel.” Now 25, the fledgling actress is showing off how much she’s grown in director Simon Rumley’s dark psychological creep-show Red, White, & Blue.
From what I gather, the film follows three losers with a knack for bad decision-making. Fuller plays human cum-receptacle Erica, an emotionally unstable runaway prone to drinking and group sex.
It appears that Fuller, who goes nude in the film, needs to believe that Red, White, & Blue is complex and artistic and not just pretentious masturbation fodder for those who peruse straight-to-DVD indie fare in search of B-list, maybe even C-and-D-list, Hollywood T&A. So, let’s humor her and watch as she explains why the nudity and violence in Rumley’s movie is a bold cinematic statement of yada yada.
I wasn’t going to post about Suicide Girls Must Die, an indie-horror with a “reality-based” slant, because I don’t like tattooed ugly chicks. But, then I realized that some of you guys are probably tattooed and ugly too.
If you have a donkey wheel you can spin to go back in time, make sure you head to the year 2003. Why? Because that’s the year you could call Live Links and hook up with “Lost” star Evangeline Lilly. At least, that’s what the phone sex company would have you believe in the following ads:
Lilly, of course, is known to millions as Kate Austin on ABC’s hit sci-fi series “Lost,” now on it’s sixth and final season.
Of course, had you called, chances are the gal on the line would actually look more like Hurley than Lilly’s Kate.
Logan Lerman is either a big fat liar or a clever self promoter. The 18-year-old tween-idol told entertainment reporter Billy Bush that he was in the running for the role of Peter Parker in Sony Pictures’ recently announced Spiderman-in-high-school reboot. Sony, however, denies Lerman’s claims.
During an interview with Access Hollywood, Lerman told Bush:
There have been a few discussions, it’s definitely something I’m looking into. It’s one of my favorite characters ever and I’m a huge fan of the series. I’d love to have more conversations about it. I’m definitely very interested in it. It’s just, you know, conversations are starting. It’s a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it’s definitely a project that I’m really interested in, of course. I’d love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It’d be such a fun experience.
Lerman’s announcement quickly set the internet abuzz.
Sony, in response, released the following statement:
No offers have been made, nor have any business discussions been made with Lerman.
So was Lerman just talking out of his ass or was he getting his name out there to promote his upcoming fantasy-epic Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief? I’m not sure, but I gotta admit—that Percy Jackson (hate the title) looks pretty damn entertaining.
Actress Sigourney Weaver first spilled the beans on Ivan Reitman’s plans to shoot Ghostbusters 3 back in December (read here). Among the details the actress told the UK’s Channel 4 News was that Bill Murray would return to the franchise as a ghost.
Murray recently confirmed Weaver’s announcement during an interview with MailOnSunday.
The actor says:
I said to them, ‘I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.’ So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.
I’m not a 45-year-old pot-smoking hippie so I’ve never really found Murray to be funny. I think Stripes, Groundhog Day, and Lost in the Translation all sucked donkey balls. I will admit, however, that Murray’s performance in the Farrelly Bros. Kingpin comedy was sheer genius.
As previously reported here, the cast of Jimmy Hayward’s supernatural-western Jonah Hex has been hard at work filming 12 pages worth of re-shoots. These are leaked on-the-set shots of actress Megan Fox. The 23-year-old stunner plays a prostitute (yay!) in the film. Unfortunately, these photos don’t really capture the essence of that type of role, but at least she’s not sucking face with Mickey Rourke.
